I think it's a very interesting take. Why did you use alchol as the metafor? It's not a song about drinking. In my opion, it's a take on, (Katy Perry's cover) a young woman having something she can't have & being nervous, guilty, yet going through with, having a fling with an older man. Listen to lyrics in the first lines "I like boys a little bit older". I feel as though she finds power in "using your love" & leaving. I think it's message of a liberated and explorative woman. Not a drunk.
