The guy at 3:24 had it right: MJ was THE biggest star ever because he was the biggest star at the time when media exploded.
I've heard Paul McCartney talk about how only the other Beatles know what it was like to be in the middle of Beatlemania. MJ had something even bigger than that and nobody else could possibly understand it. His life is story is the biggest, saddest story in my lifetime.
