1st char was a barb and i stayed in everfrost for 3 wks. one nite i was sittin in the path cos it started snowin and w/e that happened i couldnt see so i just sat down waitin for it to end an occasionally a wolf would nip at my ass so i stood up an punched it once an it died. then an elf ran past me, i didnt see him but i hrd footsteps and got a /tell whyre u just sitting there? after some chat he ported me to butcherblock an bound me. i was in awe cos i saw dwarves and no snow, then it rained
I feel like I once lived in a city like Halas, perhaps in another life? It's all so vivid in my memory. The city tucked away in the mountainside, the campfires, and a vast wilderness expanding indefinitely right out in front of you...
@McBanen Halas has returned to EQ 2. It's called New Halas and it was rebuilt by Marr. It may just be me but I don't think it has a barbarin feel to it. More like a Rime theme. I don't think EQ 1 has the Rime. I was hoping i would be more like the old Halas.
@JasonMorus EQ 2 is garbage. pure garbage. i cant belive how bad the game truly is. it does the whole starter area lots of BS quests thing. id rather they drop me into the middle of nowhere. with no story, no direction just a packet of sweet rolls and milk THATS A FUCKING RPG!

Hell yah.. mammoths were where it was at.. That and collecting the polar bear skin to give that one NPC (rare spawn in the tundra) that would make the cape with ice resist.. They'd sell for tons of cash back in the day. The layout of Everfrost was brilliant. I can remember all the new little 3D MMO'ers in all their awe.. killing goblins and being nice to each other... Then came WoW :(

i loved feeling like i was at the edge of the world, disconnected from everything you truly are a barbarian.
the halas zones allow you to level till twenty-thirty as far as i remember. made some loot on mammoths

The thing I hated most about Halas was the damn mote in front of it. Barbarians can't swim well! And waiting for the raft was sometimes irritating.
Anyway, the name of this piece is actually "Felwithe"...

Though those may be the actual titles the composers used, the players actually relate the music to the zone which is why I titled them that way.

Really? I hated Halas. I stayed lost,lol. But thats what made it kewl. All the snow made everything look the same no map... happy corpse hunting!
