@agenthelios1. No. PTFE will NOT burn off a vehicles paint finish. It's takes something like 800 degrees F to burn PTFE. That's why PTFE particles in slick 50 screw up engines, because the particles never break down and conform. The particles stay solid because the engine cannot reach a high enough temperature, they stay solid, bunch up together and clog up the oil passages. Productions brand makes a Teflon fortified polymer wax that is unbeatable, I own it.
This Contains PTFE...or Teflon..branded by DuPont.
The only benefit is ultra slick surface. the fumes of burning PTFE are actually toxic. If its on a car surface the temperature will burn the PTFE off.
