at first i was thinking the same thing, but this seems like a brilliant adaptation of dante's work applied to modern times. this is made by professionals who obviously had some fascination with the divine comedy and who knows maybe it will pass that on to the people who play it who had no idea what it was about. you cant look at it from that simpleminded perspective that only unappreciative degenerates will be playing this.

with all due respect, I don't believe that something as trifling as a video game can destroy the meaning and purpose of Dante's classic work. A game like this is about as harmful to literature as that terrible "Beowulf" CG movie that was made a few years back.

First I want to say if you think about it all games look like they are copied from something, but even then that means that God of War copied some other game for very early consoles, and it more than likely that they didn't even think about other games. n fact I know they looked at artwork more than anything.
