  • 3:50 Christ, that guitar. Now that is TRULY weeping.

  • I'm so jealous reading everyone's comments about how they remember buying the album and how awesome it was back then. I would have given my arm to live in that era. I can't imagine all my favorite bands all still whole and active, making this music simultaneously. It blows my mind.

  • I think this was the best possible way for Led Zeppelin to go out; a heartfelt dying cry of emotion.

This song has always just stuck with me as being the saddest thing I have ever heard in music, and rightly so. The death of a young girl, the death of a great era of music, and the death of the band.

  • 1979 bought this album and The Wall on the same day!!! At a head shop!! back when album covers made the record, still remember busting out the wet cloth to turn the inner sleave to color.

  • Over at BOTTSR.COM we love this album.

Sure, it isn't their fourth but there are some quality songs here.

  • pat klien all the way!

  • BEST......WALTZ.....EVER.

  • I LOVE HER i guess i love her . . . guess i love her !!! wowwwwww

  • This song is proof that they were going to go back to hard rock on their next album. Such a shame they weren't able to make that album.

  • I CAN BREAK THE GOLDEN RULE , If She ..

  • amazing song, waaaaaaaaaaw

  • had sex with this song

  • Page's lead on this is hghly underrated and is amazing. Aso Plant's histrionic screaming towards the end, This masterpiece is Zep's most underrated song IMO. The power of music at work'; and this one is powerful stuff

  • This song makes me endlessly depressed and euphoric without reasons at the same time...-

    Still don't know why

  • Love this song!!!!!!!!! It makes me feel! Probably the best vocal performance of Robert Plant. Yeah, that comes from the heart and soul. One of the best soul-blues ever. God created Zep on the seventh day!

  • thunder is just the sound of bonzo drummin in heavin

  • Haven't heard this song in years. Thankx for posting. ;)

  • Thank you!

  • Only ZEP, can be this great!!!

  • Only ZEP, can be this great!!!

  • R.I.P. John Bonham. You are truly missed. Hope you're playing "Moby Dick" in front of God and he better be diggin it. ;)

  • I LOVE you people for life! LIFE! FOREVER! LOVE!

  • AMEN!

  • What you got that God does not already love?

  • Bayou BUDRO! Thank Ya!

  • tata krysi jest najlepsszy

  • What a song!

  • The Migthy Led Zeppelin and there last masterpiece.

  • mmm... soberbio...

  • Beatles = BEST. Zeppelin = FAVORITE.

    There IS a difference !

  • I my god I gotta listen to some more led zeppelin!

  • Quite possibly (along with "The Ocean") Zeppelin's most unintentionally funniest song. Such a over-the-top sex song. But, then again, ain't most of Zeppelin's best songs over-the-top sex songs? ;-O

  • @TheAntihero6212 "The Ocean" is about the crowd at concerts. That's what little Robert Anthony said ! ;-)

  • I always thought this album was really underrated. Interesting to hear JPJ taking the helm of songwriting rather than Page.

  • @psyoptica It's much, MUCH better than "Presence" IMHO, I'll say that.

  • @TheAntihero6212

Yes, I agree. Presence is sort of a weird blip in Zeppelin's career when they stopped progressing and rehashed their blues-rock sound.

  • @psyoptica Presence is the second best album of this group, the first is Houses of the Holy.

In Presence, everyone is at his best, the song of Plant is true (Tea for one, For your life), the groove of JPJ is irresistible (For your life, Tea for one, Nodbody's Fault But Mine, Hots On for Nowhere), playing at his best Bonham (All songs) and the best riffs / solos are Page is an album less direct but terribly effective, the first 4 albums are far behind,

  • @psyoptica Candy Store Rock Hots On For Nowhere, are among the worst songs of the group, I agree totally, Royal Orleans is very effective but not excellent, is a piece Achiless progressive-hard rock unparalleled composed only of riffs and a rhythm section incredible, For your life is an excellent voltage rise, Nobody's is repetitive but saved by the quality of the contrast group (Passage calm / nervous, fast / slow) accompanied by solo guitar and harmonica, Tea for one is amazing..

  • @AZEIDJSKSQMM

Well, it's all a matter of personal preference, I guess. But I will say that Tea For One always struck me as a rehash of Since I've Been Loving You.

  • @AZEIDJSKSQMM I LOVE Hots On For Nowhere! It's a perfect companion piece for Southbound Suarez. I always like how you can pair up Zeppelin songs - Friends works with Black Country Woman in the same way. Not similar sounding but similar feeling. Different stokes, for different folks, though. :-)

  • This is literally the last song Zep ever recorded together. The last one I can't believe it. They were through so much with the satanist claims and Plants kid and The Plagiarist claims and Bonzos death and Jimmys addiction it was heartbreaking, It was magical, It was Zeppelin. For a band they reached unethical heights but every Zeppelin has to land and unfortunately they had more of a crash. They remain one of the best bands ever though. RIP Bonzo.

  • The tritone at the end - raised 4th + 9th - points back to that gleaming V/V chord (D maj) at 2:16 - which poignantly doesn't lead to I but to vi, steeping the whole thing in melancholy, preparing for the guitar solo. They are superb. In terms of using the stuff of music there's only one other band ahead of them.

  • @jctribeca4 which band is ahead of them? Just curious :D

  • @gmwright7 The Beatles (really controversial choice, I know)...

  • @jctribeca4 you're right, of course.

  • I'm gonna crawl back to 1968. Who's with me?

  • For me : Gilmour = Page. One is not better than the other but they're just different. (Sorry if my english isn't really good).

  • @BerniDROZ I love Page most of all, but Gilmour definitely deserves to be in the top 3 guitarists ever along with Jimmy and Hendrix. Gilmour is seriously underrated and Clapton (who usually is mentioned as the third) is WAY overrated.

  • Going to

  • this is saddening :(

  • every time i hear this song i get chills at 2:45 one of the cleanest zep solo

  • This is the last song on what is technically the last planned studio album by Zeppelin:(

  • Best Band Evaa

  • his mouth is smooth as velvet ... ; )

  • Wow I've been listening to Led Zeppelin for years and this is the first time I hear this song. It's just like I heared this band for the first time again, great pleasure ;)

  • I bought this album when it first came out, hearing the hiss, scratch of vinyl is like falling into my room as a teenager. What got me through that gets me through today, music is my soulmate.

  • @loriannedc music is my soulmate, thats probably the coolest thing i've heard ever. i'm totally stealing it hehe.

  • @loriannedc well said!! here! here! or is it hear! hear! ...

  • @loriannedc I have the same vinyl,my dad gave it to me!

  • great song ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡............great blues

  • To my girl Brandy. you crashed into my life 10 years ago

  • Thanks for the memories, Led Zeppelin.

  • Hey folks the strings are JPJ on keyboards. The best song ever written by the hardest band that played the background of my music. You have to lose someone to appreciate this. Leigh Norwood I will always love you and some day we will be back together. 20 years wasn't an accident! The scream gives you chills if you have ever really been in love. Zep rules!

  • From "Good Times Bad Times" to "I'm Gonna Crawl"

From "Led Zeppelin" to "In Through the Out Door"

    From 1968 to 1980

We'll miss you...Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, Robert Plant and John Bonham

May their music, their words, and their abilities change music forever

    RIP Bonzo

  • After this one, the curtain closed on Led Zeppelin...

  • THERE LAST BEST TUNE ~

  • Can anyone say "Perfect end"? Well as perfect as an end as there can be for something like Led Zeppelin, who would have been better off out lasting infinity.

  • They say:

    Gilmour = heart and soul

    Page = technique and speed

Well this solo proves that Jimmy owns everything.

  • @Adennos They never say that.

Jimmy is renowned for owning everything, often being cited as the best guitarist of all time you know?

  • @Zoso709 Of course Gilmour is a genious, but Jimmy Page is JIMMY PAGE.

  • @Adennos Page was never just technique and speed, he had so much emotion and genuineness in his playing

  • What a great an underrated song, that solo Rules.

  • fuck you 2 dislikes!

  • The 2 dislikes must have been mistakes, they probably meant to click on the thumbs up but accidentally hit the wrong one...that is the only possible way this song could ever receive a dislike.

  • does anyone know why there is a "click" sound on 3:37? it's more obvious on LP and CD,so I guess it's also on the mastertape, but I wonder why jimmy wasn't able to edit it out.

  • @tenoderaaridifolia he did it on purpose.

  • I love the intro

  • @yoyoloto absolutely!

  • This is the album that originally had 8 different album covers that came in a brown paper bag and the inside sleeve had a picture which you could water brush it to bring out the colors.LED-ZEPPELIN RULES!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!

  • has to be the greatest band of all time.shit noone compares to plants vocals and how he carries his long high notes.jimmy all of them were meant to make this group and give us so beautiful music shit zeppelin is the shit.always.

  • The chemistry between the four of them was AMAZING. There is no such thing as a bad LED-ZEPPELIN song EVER.ROCK ON!!!!!

  • the guitar solo gives me massive chills!! this song is straight up FIRE!!!!!!

  • This is such a sad song :( The synths just pull at my heart strings.

  • A perfect end to that which was in all aspects, perfect music. 8 perfect albums, containing 79 or 80 perfect songs, played by four perfect (musically) musicians, in the best and most perfect band of all time!

  • Das Beste Lied aller Zeiten .In Stiller Erinnerung an Daniel Berndt aus Lägerdof .

    stani1910.

  • this song was written before she died but still a fitting tribute to all children

  • Had this album YES album in 1980 I was 13 even though at that young age I knew that this song was so sexual. Led Zeppelin at a young age saved my musical soul plus having a major thing for Jimmy Page too. Still sssoooooo sexy after all these years. If You listen to this song and you don't get turned on by it, you must be dead!!!

  • you play this for a female and she going look at you like you crazy lol i dont give a fuck this song is bad ass !!!!!!!!!!!! led zepellin all day.... occultism & all ;)

  • their music means a lot to me. One of the bands that have touched not just my ears in a very special way, but my soul as well. I feel the music is a part of who I am. I love Led Zeppelin. Forever.

  • I often wondered what their next album was going to sound like if the tragedy didn't happen, I hear "Burning Down One Side" was written by Jimmy Page for their next album.

  • This was my wedding song, what a wonderful wife i have being she is a big Doors fan. Rock on ZOSO! Rock on to all Zeppelin fans. Im Gonna Crawl cause im drunk at this point.

  • I love this album. I bought it the very first day it was released in record stores. 1979, as a 19 year-old. Everyone was excited about the songs and the unique packaging and different covers. Only the first 4 albums do I like more than In Through the Out Door.

  • timeless .. so it seems to me..

  • que bello..!!!

  • RIP Bonzo.....

  • I'm definitely having hot passion sex to this song...............

  • no you can.t cheat death ill never happen you can.t steal a women heart .she.ll fine you get back and you can,t fight your brother .he.ll kick your ass but of all you can still love LED ZEPPLIN

  • Can't stop playing it.

Words can describe Led Zeppelin maybe...

  • This is HEAVEN my ZEP. FRIENDS

  • Oh my God... No words... the solo... the lyrics... the BAND... That keyboard...

  • @championofhardrock Same here, But I've discovered all of their songs :( They are the best band ever!!!

  • @Pavillian im getting there :P hehe. almost sad i almost know m all :S

  • @championofhardrock

Dude, I've been a Zeppelin fan for 18 years and I still discover songs I haven't heard (or versions thereof)

  • @joshuawayneyork2 haha, that keeps the fun in led zeppelin even more i can imagine! :-).

  • wen i get married im gonna dance with my wife to this shit. amazing

  • this song was about robert plants daughter that was never born due to a miscarriage and all my love is about his son that died of a heart disease.

:( poor robert its amazing how he didnt go crazy

  • total drinking song. CHEERS!

  • Incredible. Pure sex.

  • 1 sappy troll managed to find this gem

  • This song have a special meaning to me.

Everything in it is just "Perfect"

It came a point in which the earth couldn't handled such an amazing band.

    Zeppelin will always live.

  • Pagey's solos have so much emotion to them its almost like there alive and breathing! Amazing guitarist!

  • Can you believe this guitar solo? It's so non tecnical, it's so unrefined, it's so unrehearsed, and it's just absolutely friggin incredible!

  • @eyeBblowed people don't get why I love page's sloppy solos...they're just SOOO special!

  • @YetHaterLover yer right about that . This solo is ragged and loud and brilliant . He understands each song and his solos always perfectly capture the feel and atmosphere of each song ,rather than some arpeggio laced generic solo like most guitarists would opt to do . Each solo serves the song well . He gets it .

  • @eyeBblowed Fuckin a boss,fuckin a!

  • rock and roll

  • i have this on vinyl...just sayin

  • Zeppelin has left the building, but it stills smells like burning fuel in here (:

  • The intro is truly amazing!!

  • @tamerswan haha I pictured the same thing... this is what a friend of mine would call "smooth" music xD

  • @caramelhiggens I see what you did there.

  • The guitar is epic in this song...amazing feel...

  • 0 dislikes. wow, this band must be good!

  • @DefeatThe3Heat Is not just a band, but a whole world mate =)

  • @caramelhiggens Coda was made up of old yet unreleased tracks, so there's nothing new material there.

  • Comment removed

  • ugh, this song is so good.

    can't take it D;

  • If you cheat, -cheat death.

If you steal, -steal a woman's heart.

If you fight, -fight for a brother.

If you love Zeppelin, then love this tune, -Zeppelin's final track!

  • @nowandzen7 Amen brother

  • @nowandzen7 double like... couldn't have said that better myself!

  • i love to dance to this, its so sexy and seductive

  • not a single dislike and 34,000 views thats fucking epic

  • Long live Zeppelin!

  • My interpretation of the song has always been that Plant is singing about all the fans of Led Zeppelin, in his little farewell kind of way. This song, in spite of the existence of Coda, is the last Led Zeppelin song - a goodbye. The melody encapsulates most of their songs, from their more acoustic works to their harder rock songs, and the lyrics are, like most of their songs, a love story taken literally, and a million different messages interpreted figuretively.

    LONG LIVE ZEPPELIN.

  • @hedonism13 Very well put, but I don't think they knew it would be a farewell. They only broke up because Bonzo left to join the Great Gig in The Sky. Nevertheless, a beautiful song, and it's good to see so many TRUE Zeppelin fans commenting.

  • i love led zeppelin

  • exelente!!

  • when ever i discover a great led zeppelin song i havent heard before i get a feeling like no other

  • So glad to have lived this. ROCK AND ROLL! Not the dumb $h!t radio stations and labels promote today in large part (95%). TALENT, BEAUTY!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE my Zepp.

  • @fdarkbladeus Led Zeppelin Rules!!! Today's SHIT music cannot hold a candle to any Led Zeppelin song!!!

  • 4:46 - Robert doing his Goofy impression.

  • blows your mind away, pussy rules.

  • The best was yet to come. Grew up listening to their less popular music. All their shit was the shit!!! First time I heard this song I cried like a bitch!

  • .. havent heard this one in a very very long time .... kills me

  • May 3nd 2011 9:00 am: my first time hearing this Zep song, my girlfriend posted this on my facebook lastnight for me to catch this morning, this is so fucking sweet.

  • @niafrica69

    3nd ? haha

  • Yup, the last ever Zep song! And holy shit, check out Pagey's guitarsolo! His all-time best? Not far away, at least...

  • Man Alive, I have always loved this song!

  • One of my favorite songs ever I literally can't stop playing it.

This is basically the last Led Zeppelin song.

Remember listening Good Times Bad Times their first, so happy with the sick melody, and now I'm listening I'm Gonna Crawl, their last, I'm about to cry.

I just missed them so much. Led-Zeppelin is the best band ever and I listened thousands of bands.

    Their music is literally life.

    Led Zeppelin (1968-1980)

  • @Clasico2350 yea it was defiantly their "Swan Song". And your illustration almost brings it together perfectly.

This song although a blues tune (the end- bad times) has lyrics that are somewhat upbeat ( the beginning - good times). One of my favorites (though Pages solo was definately to short).

  • @Clasico2350 the music lives on forever. 1968- ...

  • @Clasico2350 Hey Bro, I'm in So. Cal. and there's Led Zep tribute called Led Zeppagain you have got see. Dude ask 'em to play this song, you will cry.

  • @axegrindr9 Yes dude I had already listened them.

    In fact they are amazing.

  • @axegrindr9 Yes, I saw Led Zepagain in LA and they are the best. I am on their mailing list. They are one of the few tribute bands who have no other jobs, they are that good.

  • @Clasico2350 well said,i also have adeep connection with zepp, their music was a big part of my life.LONG LIVE THE MIGHTY LED ZEPPLIN!!!!!

  • @Clasico2350 Well said. But I can't help but say that Led Zeppelin has never really broken up. So long as their music is still played, they won't ever die. I plan on letting my children listen to this.

  • @Clasico2350 not literally... their music is LIFE

  • @Clasico2350 ..agreed, simply the best band ever!

  • @Clasico2350 "This is basically the last Led Zeppelin song"

and it is still one of my favorites. The guitar solo cannot be matched.

  • Respond to this video... AAAHHHHhuhu, I don't want to crawl baby.
