I like the update series much better than Series 1 or 2. There are much better odds on just about everything. I especially like the abundance of numbered cards
@BronxBomber1237 - There is no such thing as a deal form Target or Walmart. They are retail stores that have to hit certain numbers for the products that they have on the shelves.
I didnt care for this years topps. Not much in the set. Last year set is loaded with rare cards such as pie cards, hall of fame sp's, abraham lincon cards, etc. Alot of cards worth 50-100 bucks. Makes you want to buy a box. This year there isnt much. Still the pie and sps, but not as good as last year.
@aliciadom -- This is a very respectable assessment of your opinion on this years cards. This year was missing the big hit cards that have collectors chasing, but I like that, and here is why. In past years, the giant cards bring out the rich people that buy up all of the important boxes of cards, which gives us lower income fans less chance to get those huge hit cards, and raises the prices of boxes. That takes excitement away from the hobby for us, and takes some of us clean out of the hobby.
Hey Kris, I have a Robinson Cano all-star card from this series that is not the same photo as the gold one you pull in this video. Mine is of him holding the HR Derby trophy. Is mine perhaps an SP or did they just change the photo for the gold cards?
@boneybobjuicedup -- Not an SP. Cano has 2 different cards in 2011 Topps Update, #18, and #299. Card #18 is his regular All-Star card, and #299 is his Home Run Derby card. Topps would never change all of the photos for a gold set. That would take forever, and then make them raise the prices of the cards.
@bobbymikeybc99 - Of course there are relics and autos in Update. It is just like any other Topps Update set in the past. These are just retail packages. They completely suck for hit cards. Hobby packages get almost all of the hits now, but they are just too expensive for me at this point.
wow kris! update is looking good this year. i like the sparkle cards and blue bordered, all the base cards look great and especially the all-star cards.
Whoa, how much was that and they let you buy that in the box!!! I've seen those at Walmart and other places, but they usually won't let you buy that whole thing!
@HeRoNationz - I have learned in my 32 years that if you have the money, you can buy whatever you want. "They can't stop me, they can only hope to contain me."
It was only $100. I mentioned all of the numbers in the video. 48 packs x $1.98 = 95.04 + 8.25% Texas Sales Tax = $102.88
