Me interesaría saber si de este show en vivo se llegó a editar en DVD ya que no lo consigo por ningun lado; cualquier informacion o aporte ayuda. Gracias y arriba The Cure.
@ashhadshabbir The title says it all: It's "Tape" from The Cure.. They used it as an opener for quite a while back then.. Usually followed by "Open".. Those two songs can be combined more or less seamlessly :-)
I was in america and did see this kind of vibe for about 3 months while the wish tour was on in 92 and later in 96 in georgia.
But you knew some bad shit was going down like storm coming , little did we know the bad side of england was going to launch an counterstrike with Cowell at his helm.
I mean cmon people just look at him, give him polyster suit and that smile and what do u get , aint no damm charity i cant tell ya
This takes me back! Even if a lot of us looked SUPER CHEESY in the 90's! I used to drop acid with my friends a lot, and we would inevitably watch show-and ALWAYS stand up and roar with applause at the end of a forest. Oh those groovy green lights...
I do have to agree. I have been a fan since about 1988, and I saw them in concert in 96, and NO ONE around me had ANY clue about any other songs than Just Like Heaven or Friday I'm In Love...and much of them left after hearing those songs, when they started on things like Like Cockatoo and Charlotte Sometimes... sad...
Has anybody else noticed that The Cure's increasing popularity in America coincided with their musical decline (post-Wish) and the slow transformation of their audience and fan-base into a massive army of complete fucking dicks?
just the opposite, after Wish their popularity in the US fell... more and more... not because of anything other than the music they've produced has lost its lush quality. Listen to Tape how beautifully haunting it is and compare it to 4:13...jesus h.... no comparison.
Yes, what the hell happened - its like they turned their back on their roots altogether ( i mean bloodflowers / wish still were pretty good albums ) and decided to try to turn themselves into uk garage band .
( The shit type thats the reason uk music has sucked for so long , along wiht cowell )
But its not just the Cure , its Smashing Pumpkins , NIN and almost any band of note in the 90s.
Wish is my sisters era and I didn't get into the Cure until a little after Bloodflowers (I was old enough to explore and discover music then). Now that I've become a huge fan of the Cure, I must say that I've come across alot of stupid and rude Cure fans at concerts. I wish I did live the Disintegration & Wish era. I'm sure it was fun and the best times
@Misspinkeye i can relate to u i grew up in the 90s became a fan just after disentegration all i wished then was that i had seen them live between 80 and 82 back in the 90s all who knew about music were snobs no sharing no internet somehow i met the right people found so many obscure bands as good as the cure its crazy now u still have the music snobs i still love most of what the cure has done but cure fans suck
Yo tengo el disco original de este concierto lo mejor de todo es que es rare el disco que tengo...concierto en formato CD-i Philips creo que soy de los pocos que puede decir que lo vio con la maxima calidad en su dia.
I always liked this clip,i have this old vhs tape. The kids in the clip remind me when i was in high school kinda the goth kids were into the Cure.I was always a U2 fan but i came to like the Cure later on.Would definitely buy this on dvd.
questa canzone mi riempie i momenti confusi delle giornate passate a cercare di capire le cose della vita...mi pare proprio un gran intro!

Alas I suppose those acid days never reached me here -
It would be interesting to compare the so called fans of today to those back then with footage -
When you know the Cure has fallen you know you are headed into some rough times indeed

None of them have done anything in this decade .

What great images, what an atmosphere.
It feels me so exciting when, in the end, Open guitar solo starts up.
Generally, Show is one of the best live ever seen.

I'd happily buy the DVD, as is I'll buy a DVD/VHS combo player to transfer it myself.
This is my favorite cure lineup and favorite concert video!

Has anyone got 'Never Enough' so we can finish this playlist off for all to enjoy!
By the way, who is running the campaign for the DVD release of this old video classic?
