@1888gp what???? he sings it like Steve Earle....he is the best songwriter/singer alive today, in my humble opinion,but i've been a fan for 20 plus years...you need to try and he catch him on his current tour, if he's near wherver you live...Steve Earle live is something else alltogether....

Thanks for posting this. I'd never seen this footage before. The Rain Came Down has ALWAYS been one of my favorite Steve Earle tunes! I used to live in Champaign, Illinios and it wasn't too far from there where my grandparent's farm used to be.

God bless Steve Earle, he made it through hell and came out on the other side...as a recovering addict myself, he is a continuing inspiration in my own recovey...been a fan for years and years, we grew up about this far from each other in Texas....the best singer songwriter in the world...okay, i am a little crazy.
