Man, I bet this is what a real campaign like. I play D&D at my school's gaming club, and we only have about an hour to play...ONCE A WEEK! And not only that, but everyone keeps getting so distracted that we hardly get anything done. None of us has even gotten into a real fight, and we've been at it since the beginning of the school year! I wish I could be in a REAL campaign!

It IS possible--I've done it before--but generally you need to have a little more experience, because the player will usually have to run more than one character, and the DM usually needs to have some roleplaying experience to do a decent job, regardless. If thats all you can get, though, I would suggest one of you making a 3-4 character party, and the other person (the DM) running a pre-constructed module.

I had a group at my university, and EVERYONE in it was crazy. To illustrate, a quote (not from my game, but a player who's also in my group): "Here, take this corpse. (pause) I'll fight you for that corpse."
