  • Hare Krishna!

  • amazing

  • Beautiful song! I wish it had been released. The chorus is the type that gets stuck in your head all day!

  • love this song!!!

  • Wow, George Harrison wrote a song on my town! :O

    This is amazing!

  • @yippyyipy I think, because the English script is not what it was originally written in, it doesn't really matter how you anglicise it, and there is no "correct" spelling. I've been to the town, and on the signs it's Dehra Dun ;)

  • I dont know if george ever gave a said how to spell it

    Dera Dhun

    Dehra Dun

    Dera Dun

    Dehra Dhun

it could be spelled many ways as far as I know XD

  • It was typical for the balance of power within the Beatles that songs like Dehra Dun, Sour Milk Sea and Not Guilty did not receive proper recognition at the time, while stuff like Wild Honey Pie and Revolution no.9 made it on to The White Album.

  • @Marsteef a valid point, but had it not been for george wild honey pie wouldn't have been on the album. it wasn't a serious song, just an experiment.

  • Man, i miss George. He was such a positive dude and wrote such brilliant music.

  • Free Mp3 of this song is available at wwwDOT4sharedDOTcom/audio/kasqAbHv/Dehra_Dun_-_George_Harrison

    Just replace DOT with .Thanks!

  • For the fans who don't know: This song was written after George and his boys visited Dehra Dun city during their Rishikesh visit in 1968-69. I'm glad, that my hometown got a song from George. R.I.P

  • bad george never realeased the song as a single

  • where can I download an MP3 of this song?

  • @jeffreymarcus123

download this song and then make mp3

  • Excuse me, it´s Dehra Dun, with no "h" in Dun.

  • Beautiful demo. George sings it lovely, so sweet, and feeling in his heart the indian singing style. So beautiful, very especially at the end of each phrase when he finishes Dehra Dehra Duuuhhnn... He catches the atmosphere of the beautiful indian classical vocal music. I´ve been to Rishikesh and I found the ashram by myself. It looked abandoned but still lovely. I felt as if they´d been there a hundred years ago. All things must pass...

  • QUE ROLA TAN CHINGONA...BIEN MI YORSH

  • amazing song...a tribute to my home town..!

  • rolototota poka madre

  • He could have incorporated bag pipes and sitar and we'd have been swaying to the flow...

  • George is the only guy I know who can cross Celtic Folk with Hinduism and have it mesh divinely.

  • Ah! Every time I think I've heard all there is of George's work something like this pops up. Lovely!

  • Wow!! :) :)

  • Beautiful picture of George! And he sure had great hair, didn't he?

  • I like this picture, too. It's one of my personal favourites. He's so handsome. :) And I agree that he had great hair, Many women (including me ;)) would like to have hair like that.

  • When was this recorded? IT IS FANTASTIC!!! WHY wasn't it officially released????

  • its only a demo.the beatles actually did this song for the white album it was all electric guitar and sounded quite different from this.

  • Is dis a mantra..??

lyk... sm kind of a replication for Aum..... or something..??

coz it rlly calms me down whenever i listen to this....

  • this could be some kind of mantra??

    it really calms me down

  • Its not any mantra...Dehra Dun is name of a city in India..It's actually my hometown...

Beatles came to India long back and stayed in an adjacent city called Rishikesh. Don't know why the song is on Dehra Dun though :)

  • good song fm a legend as well memories of home doon ignites with such dedication songs.
