The story of Badfinger is probably the most tragic in the history of rock. Ham and his best friend Badfinger bassist Tom Evans both committed suicide (by hanging) in in the mid-70's in the UK. Nilsson's cover of this song became world famous in early 1971 and is now considered Ham's singular masterpiece. Unfortunately, Pete never lived to see his song become immortal thanks to Harry's version of it:(

Search "I'd Die Babe"....George Harrison produced the song and plays guitar....an undiscovered classic.

Why everybody put down this lady! She was a struggling actress and she was called in to dance in this poofy dress pjama outfit for our delight! She struggled for many years with alcoholism and petty theft until one day in 1982 she was found dead in a small shack in upper Pennsylvania. In her hands was a crumpled 45 of this amazing song. RIP Miss Maria Boppers

This had to of been directed by some old fruit who pranced around in his bedroom throughout his whole childhood wishing he was a princess. {All that being said i remember my older sisters listening to this song when i was just a sprout in the early 70's and couldnt figure out why they'd cry everytime they listened to it}
