Thanks for the review, also Australian. Going to get one. Try loosening all the screws, hold the blade in the centre while you tighten the up again. This should fix it.
I have become a huge fan of this little knife! The fit and finish, the smooth function, and the slight heft of the knife (2 oz! some heft :) are a delight.
The flat ground VG10 blade cuts great and seems to be improving in edge retention as I use and sharpen the knife more. I'm well pleased with the steel performance.
Unless you emphasize heavy outdoor tasks or self-defense capacity in your EDC, it would be very, very hard to do better than this splendid little blade.
I see what you mean with the sticking out bolts/nubs on spyderco knives, I have just 'modded' my delica4 by reversing the bolts. I'm left handed, so now the knife looks more aesthetically pleasing when I use it then it did. the only thing left to do to make it a fully left handed knife is to put the logo on the right side of the blade, only that's not gonna happen without spyderco doing it I guess.
@Rundfunk90 Wow what great attention to detail you have! A few times I too found myself complaining about have the screws in the 'wrong' direction for the left-handed side. Maybe I'll do that little 'mod' of yours too! Thanks for the tip and the sub. cheers
Thank you for the awesome review, you have convinced me to buy this knife. And on a completely different subject, Me being from Australia your accent is like honey to me! very nice.
Delica 4 is also my primary EDC [VG-10]. I also have one in ZDP-189 that is very nice. I just bought my son the DF in FRN for a Bday gift. Did not want to get him something that would freak folks out like a RAT-1 which I also carry. Great to see a woman who is knows blades!
Great review, especially for your first one. Keep it up!
Haha you do have small hands, I thought that Delica 4 was an Endura for a second when you first pulled it out.
The Superhawk I had for a little while had a bit of residue in the opening hole. Basically the only fit and finish flaw I could find on that particular knife.
Wow, excellent first review! I definitely can't wait for the next one! I've extensively fondled my friend's g-10 dragonfly and it's a pretty sweet knife!
Good review. Do you have any of the frn versions? Just wondering how they compare. Some say the G10 version is too heavy but for the size and weight, 2 oz, it doesn't seem that much. It's a bit lighter than a Delica in frn which is a feather weight.
+1 on another left hander.
That camera has a bit of a focusing issue. It sort of took away from what you were saying, but besides that excellent review.
I don't actually own an FRN D'fly, but I've handled it in my local knife store. Same great ergos, and indeed it was really light. I personally like having a little bit of heft on the blade, but not too much, so I ended up with the G10 version instead. The FRN version was very grippy too, but not in the 'soft' way that the G10 is, but for both, you won't slip.
yes, I'll try to work on the focusing issue for next time.
:) hello fellow lefty! thanks for commenting. hope this helped!

Very good review. This and your EDC video influenced me to purchase a G10 Dragonfly of my own for dressy/office carry.
Hope you can find time to keep the vids coming.

I just thought it'd be interesting to compare and contrast the slight variations between different manufacturing facilities :)
Its still a great blade! ;)

Why did you had to mention the protuberant screws, now keep seeing them. You ruined my knife! LOL.
