bow doors were left open, and the ship was sitting low in the water. At a higher speed, water flooded the car deck and with the sloshing motion she tipped over. Only reason she didn't sink was that it landed on a shallow sandbar.

In this time I cross a lot of times with TT the channel. I was normal to let the doors open when the ship was moving out of the harbor to get fresh air into the pardeck.

I missed this vessel only, why I had a blw up on my truck in the nederlands, was coming from Hamburg airport with freigt for London Heathrow. God thank you very mutch

It is more accurate then the reconstructions made about it, I should know i was on that ship in 6 March 1983 and was only 3 years old and remember all of it.
