I remember this film. It was shown when I was in school, about 5th or 6th grade. It has a simple, effective message. Social Studies teachers favored it. I probably saw it more than once.

I've never said that women need "handouts" - I simply agree with feminists that if I'm doing the exact same job as you, just as well as you're doing it, then I should be paid the same amount for it. Not more than you, but certainly not less than you. A persons pay rate should be based SOLELY upon their ability to do the job at hand, not whether or not they have the right additional body parts or the right skin tone.

I have talked to men in the military, they are tired of waiting for the girls to catch up, carry their loads, and do their job.
Given that women in the military are on par with a 55 year old man as far as physical abilities, isn't the idea of the army to weed out the weak and have the strong defending our nation?

Ancient Sparta sent women (like Hydna, who destroyed the Persian navy) into battle without qualms and had numerous military successes because of it. The Soviet Union had something like 800,000 women serving in the military during WWII of which around 70% were on the front line. What's funny about that is that it is a well proven and documented medical / scientific fact that many women have much faster reaction time, both physically and intellectually, than many men do. It is also a well shown observation (I won't say fact because I'm not positive that it has actually been proven at this juncture) that many women become amazingly more "bloodthirsty" then some men when placed in a position to defend their home and loved ones.

Highly relevant to what is currently occuring in our society. I would argue though that liberty, the respect of equals between people, to insure freedom is the highest above democracy. Democracy and the republic is simply a tool to defend liberty but can still be despotic as we see today.

If anyone lied to me it wasn't my mother, it was my father - he was the one that attended all my track meets and drove me to my face to face interview when I applied for the ROTC scholarship, which I was more qualified for than numerous other applicants but didn't receive simply because I have breasts.

First of all, yes I'm well aware that years ago that was commonplace. However, it wasn't "a few years ago", it was forty to fifty years ago. There are still remnants of it present even now and I've never found it remotely offensive when a man behaves in a gentlemanly manner. HOWEVER I see no need to wait for a man to open a door for me if I'm in a rush for some reason when I'm perfectly capable of doing so myself. Like most males, I have opposable thumbs - odd how that works isn't it? ;)

Well those days are fading fast. After opening the door for an obvious feminist, and getting the proverbial "I can do it myself" I've never opened a door for a woman other than my wife. And I think most men are getting like that.
If you ladies want chivalry, you had better do it among your manly selves. The days of putting women on a pedestal, are over, you need to come down to the same level as the men. As Phyllis Schlafly stated.

Did YOU know in that same period an unmarried woman was considered worthless, useless? You can't deny it either, the people around her had LOVELY 'subtle', silent ways of snubbing her so that she was in no doubt as to how they viewed her. Rather sad that ANY persons worth should be measured solely by whether or not they're married. But then it's also rather sad that some men find it SO offensive that a woman would want to help contribute to their comfort rather than possibly becoming a burden.

Well, they knew just how valuable the family was. One has to wonder just why feminists came to destroy the family as one of their goals.
Remember, in the Roman times, women were not allowed to sit at the table with the men, a man could kill his wife, and nobody cared.
Now, it was Christians that put women on a pedestal. Revered motherhood, put women on a pedestal, carried her over puddles, and tried their damnedest to meet her needs.

Most women in the US choose not to ONLY because there are plenty of men who WANT to serve in the military, etc, who go out of their way to make it needlessly difficult on women to also do so, so we might as well do other things we'll enjoy more. Why try to swim against the current needlessly? The military complex in the US has shown time and time again that women generally do just fine but that =men= are distracted by their presence and are more inclined to disobey orders (Cont.)

Yeah, moral is wrecked by girlfriends and most girls get knocked up. There is no reason for a girl to be chaste, all she has to do is locate the sperm donor and her nation destroying behavior can be ghettoized and rewarded.
Most women in the military cannot throw a grenade far enough away to avoid killing themselves.

(particularly in combat situations) to follow the genetic impulse that urges them to protect any women at hand, so how exactly does that equal to me or any other woman somehow -lacking the ability- to defend as needed? Listen, Also women have a harder time reaching the trigger on an M 16. One girl died because she couldn't see out the window of the vehicle she was driving, rolled and she didn't have a seat belt on and got squashed.
Do you like the idea of a woman getting every bone in her body broken, raped every which way, when they get captured? Like Jessica Lynch. And that happens to every woman captured by the enemy.

Am I weaker than you physically Verlch? Perhaps, I've no idea what you look like so I can't say for sure. So perhaps you can lift a beer keg by yourself while I can't, so what? I'm more than intelligent enough to find an easier way to move it out of my way without a man's help and without having to grunt, flex or break a sweat.

You must be built like a tank then since most men can't move a full keg by themselves in "30 seconds". But then that's the difference between men and women: men NEED to posture about their manliness, women don't do that. We also take the minute to look at a problem and work smarter rather than harder. I know exactly how to use an unwieldy items own weight to shift it onto a small dolly for easy moving. I also know how to open a jar of pickles without help darlin, but thanks for the offer. ;)

One doesn't need to be manly to open things dear, but quite frequently women will ask a manly man to do it for us simply to make him feel useful. You're an idiot of the highest order if you TRULY believe that your wife, mother or sister aren't CAPABLE of opening a jar without your help sweetpea.

I just realized that this film is not teaching principles of Liberty, but is in fact teaching socialism through Democracy! Power is not shared in a Republic, it is seperated and balanced and respect is not shared because opinions and freedom of thought and speech are protected to each individual. This proves that we have been brainwashed over several generations!!!! Restore the Republic!
