Umineko is the spiriual successor to Higurashi like what Bioshock is to System Shock. It has some similarties to HIgurashi but with totaly new characters with a new story. So far its really good.

Actually it was neither ^_^. The red fluid was Tabasco Sauce, and Keiichi just hallucinated the needle into existance.
