As you approach Heysham Port you come to a set of traffic lights with a pub on the right . Turn right at these lights and carry on to the end of the road. At the junction turn left, then immediately right. This will take you along the road next to the sea wall. This road has speed bumps on it and towards the far end there is a gate across the road. I parked before the gate half on the pavement.

Where abouts is a good vantage point at Heysham, ie the one on this vid? Is it easily accesible?
