Its surposed to be a random game but i,ve been watching the show for some time now and its a ratio of 9 to 1 that theres a blue in your box,its so obvious that noel knows whats in the box,and the fact that he has shares in the company says it all,
How much does 250K Pounds translate into the American Dollar? Just wondering, since the American version has had grand prizes upwards to 2 million dollars.
Okay, Caniard. Yes, I'd probably agree with you that it was specifically designed that Alice might give that Banker's Gamble a shot. But it's not "staged" as "staged" usually means, like the entire show was designed as a stunt. To "stage" the show, they would have to make Alice pick the six boxes out of the seven that didn't have the 1p, after she dealt. If that failed, Alice would have been left having made a deal she didn't want to make. That's not a risk Endemol would take.
Instead, they came up with the idea that if 1p/250,000 were to turn up, they would then offer the Banker's Gamble. But they would not stage the show to make those two be the last two boxes. They preferred to wait until it actually happened.
Also because it is 100% random using a ball-in-the-bag system of closing your eyes and putting your hand in a bag and just picking a random ball xD, I wonder if the person who puts the money in the boxes uses the same or similar system to put the money in a particular number.
The distraught Banker, unable to come to terms with such a colossal defeat - particularly at a time when most bankers are feverishly trying to look after the pennies - was last seen fleeing the studios in despair," said a show source. "His current whereabouts are unknown."
The 1,000th episode of Deal Or No Deal will air in two weeks' time
It's his fault...no decent gambler would put 12.3:1 odds against himself, even if it's an all-or-nothing gamble. When someone is actually smart enough to take the gamble, you have to take the consequences.
good luck to whoever's picked for the 1000th show, as they could REALLY make the 1st half of 2009 a horrible time for the banker. At least Noel's adversary isn't known as Fred. :D
I watched this when it was on, can't believe this wasn't leaked out before it went out on air. It was a total suprise and one of the best games I've watched. Brilliant TV.
I cannot believe no one knew about this apart from the show staff the contestants and the pilgrims, you are such a beautiful lady Alice, and now you are a very wealthy young lady as well, well done,I cannot believe I missed the show, Well done Alice, I hope we do not have to wait as long for the next winner as I am such a big fan of the show, I cannot believe no one knew.
No offence to any contestants, but why are they being congratulated? It is a game of luck, not skill or dexterity. They sit down and pick numbers. Hardly difficult. And fairly well paid, too.
The game itself is part luck and part skill, i.e weighing up probabilities and jumping ship at the right time. But winning the jackpot is a combination of luck and stubbornness.
AWESOME, im in shock! I cant believe the contrast between the 1p and £250,000..she's crazy, i wouldnt have gambled, but it paid off! WOW, I cant believe she is from the EXACT SAME town as Laura is and they BOTH won the £250,000...this game never fails to amaze

yeah unless they broke the laws of the randomness of the game and told Alice where the amounts were...there wasnt any way of doing that.

PaulMasherano, so if you won the lottery you would be fine if no-one congratulated you or celebrated with you? Jealously sure is ugly!

I suppose there is sum skill, choosing right times and stuff like that.

You have to wonder what the average is for that board. And what he would offer; though takeing into account that the Banker doesn't do averages.
