X6 could ave been better but it was just nothing but a rush job so Capcom can make money and it was just shit.

I don't know if you know this but X5 was originally going to be the last game but without the creator's knowledge (because he was working on the Zero series) they made X6 in less than a year.

This was pretty violent to me when I was growing up. In TV shows, you would see human-like robots get chopped and blew up, but on this game, they look like their bleeding blood. Plus, they just got down right murdered. A good way to introduce a scary villain.
