@FinnMove this drummer is realy laid back hitting behind the beat with a wet dish rag thats a fad now listen to where has everybody gone by the pretenders [that started with the daily planet by love ]
@hannibal316iij zounds like they cut it off so the publisher wont complain emerson should ride his motorcycle on stage if greg lake complains emerson can get chrissie hynde to replace him
This is taken from a CD called "To Cry You A Song". It's a tribute to Tull by other prog-rock contemporaries. This track is by Keith Emerson solo (not ELP). Hope this clears up the confusion.
Well thanks it actually does clear some confusion. But I knew it was Keith Emerson's playing on this track, that much I was sure of. Thanks for clearing that up.
i cant tell you but i know its not ELP i am a dedicated fan and i have never heard of this. i downloaded this b4 realizing it was just tagged wrong. just bc he is playing a hammond organ does not mean its Keith Emerson
Ok, the chalk has been passed. Next time Jethro Tull comes round, lets see if they can do an ELP cover. They did a great Led Zeppelin cover the last time I saw them.
Excellent visuals, Aqua, I loved 'em! OMG, they would have to do a cover for this one. LOL! Oh well, it's recognizable by 99% of the freakin' planet, so I can understand why they would've selected it. Personally, I would LOVE to hear what they'd do with "Black Sunday", I think Keith Emerson would really shine on that particular tune.
Thanks Gothling, I know I would love hear them do Black Sunday too, I think they would really nail that one. But sadly I doubt that would ever happen.
Oh no - this two countries divided by a common language thing again.
It's a very common expression over here - "like comparing chalk and cheese". Two things that are completely different to each other.
Maybe the expression isn't appropriate because it doesn't say which one is crap and which one is good. But I think you'll know what I think about that anyway !
Ah I see, actually pretty dim of me to have not gotten that. I just wasn't sure exactly what you meant by it. But I have heard the expression used before, in a Ian Anderson song. How ironic!
Yeah, I like how they make it their own. I am not sure if I got the full track here though. It kind of cuts off at the end. Anyway, thanks for watching.
Excellent.

Why does the song end abruptly at the 2mins52sec mark? Doesn't it have an ending?

While I am not a huge ELP fan that was a beautiful cover of LITP. Long live the Tull! And indeed they have 1968 - ?
