This movie centers me like no other. I read the novel after seeing the movie and I recommend it. The characters are EXACT! I could visualize the movie actors in the novel. The novel is a bit dark in places. Sully has a married girlfriend who has a married daughter who is abused by her husband and has an autistic child, for example. The characters of Ms. Berle and her son are more completely explored. Sully's relationship with his father, who is in a nursing home, is also dealt with. A MUST READ!
