screw you people who boo'd obama because were all equal and we deserve to be treated fairly. and if you sacks of shit cant get that than boo obama at his own election and see what happens.
i dunno...personally i would not have booed mccain if he won, this election is a joyous occasion, for America its a chance to start over i don't think anyone should boo either candidate...but hey, we still got a lot of growing up to do
It may be understandable that they booed the first time. It only proves that they were not capable of being gracious, not that they are a bunch of hate filled bigots fueled by McCain's ugly campaigning. But the SECOND time they booed, later on in McCain's speech, AFTER he had put up his hands and and said "please", makes me wonder.
It's easy to be generous in victory. Equally difficult is being gracious in defeat. Like many, I was disappointed in the behavior of the crowd at the McCain concession speech, but I cannot fault them for their actions. When I look inside myself, and I ask myself, "How would I have behaved, had I been faced with the same disappointment?" I realize that it is likely I do not possess the maturity to accept defeat gracefully (at least initially.) Therefore, I shall not judge others.
I voted for Obama and I am very happy...and was also disgusted at the way McCain's supporters behaved. But do you honestly think that Obama supporters wouldn't have done the same thing had Obama lost? Think about it. They spent months rallying behind McCain and he lost...of course they're going to be upset....not that I condone what they did.
Yes, I had noticed the difference in the two crowd reactions too, Grady, and I was likewise pleased with the latter. Hopefully, over the next four years, the values of secular progressiveness and spiritual enlightenment will slowly spread throughout the heartland of America while bitterness, bigotry, evangelism and ignorance fade away into forgetable history.
Why I am I not shocked? No but seriously that was the first thing I noticed when Obama came out and said McCain and the crowd cheered. Already seeing the McCain crowd I was happy to see Obama's crowd being mature and respectful.

A revealing comparison that only reinforces the reasons for America's decision.
