phillips is a quality scrumhalf, its easy to point out some errors in his game as every player makes mistakes. but he proves himself a good player more often than not and even scored a very precise try against south africa in one of the three tests

@motion2005 you picked out 2 mistakes made by phillips in this match. the facts are that phillips was the outstanding scrum half of those that were chosen to go on tour. he was also one of the better players to go on a very poorly managed lions tour. he is also still the best in britain at his position. something few others from that lions tour managed to upstain. for you to criticize him so harshly in his 1st lions tour is utterly obscene

@meskell02 i would say one of the main reasons why it was so close between england and waleswas that england did theyre homework on philips and were constantly catching him has he took steps before passing. completely messed up theyre continuity. he can be great, but if you play him right, he can be dire. good going forwards, but dont want him on the pitch when hes feeling the heat
