Thanks for checking on the Dark Cherry drink! :) I was eventually going to get to the web site but you beat me to it. And yes! You can get verrrry specific. When I order my Americano (which is pretty much just espresso with water) I order it to the "Milk" check box on the cup. LOL!
People will even give their exact temperature! (Which is just a bit over the top for me... as long as it's hot I'm good.)
I'm from England, where there aren't that many Starbucks outlets, but there are a few, I've recently started having Starbucks, the coffee's just gorgeous, So far I've had a cafe mocha, and a dark cherry cafe mocha, I can't wait to try what else they have to offer, I can feel myself becoming addicted to it! I lived in Europe and Asia for years--good European coffee is exactly the same as good coffee anywhere else. True, most North Americans don't make "good" coffee; that's what they're used to. But many North Americans know the difference, and saying that Europe has the market cornered on the good stuff is just typical EU snobbery.
Ugh...Starbucks is the Holy Spirit of the American Trinity, standing right there with Walmart the Father and McDonalds the Son. I don't know what I could do without the Holy Spirit of Coffee in me.
It's sad to say that I'm a starbucks virgin, never been but its ok, besides if I were to go i'd be like frapa-mocha-what?! lol and i rarely drink coffee anyway and when I do i like it with just a little sugar and cream.
I'm not addicted to Starbuck's so much as mochas, but I wanted to lose a little weight at the start of the year, so I haven't had a mocha all year. I'm sure that horrifies you as a shareholder. I won't drink a mocha again until I feel I've sufficiently established the discipline for eating right and excercising that I feel I should have. The mochas will be my reward. I wish Starbucks still had 7 layer bars.
One more thing...Starbucks coffee simply CAN'T be compared to McDonalds'. $2.02 isn't that expensive for a 20 ounce cup of great coffee. If you JUST want the caffeine, then go to McDonalds. If you want flavor and quality that (trust me) is worth every penny, Starbucks is the way to go.

I work at a drive-thru starbucks, and your drink that you say is high maintenance, is not half bad compared to some people that come into my store.
We have a woman who we call the chai lady who orders a tripple venti half-calf soy no water chai [yes, that is right. shots of espresso in the chai] with ten pumps of chai, two pumps of sugar-free vanilla, stirred, with whip in the top of the cup, and an extra grande cup of whip on the side. now THAT is high maintenance.
But your not, because there is that one thing inside you asking yourself, "why does he almost hate me?" Thats because Starbucks makes shitty coffee, and tries to market it as good, and you love it. Hey coffee isn't supposed to taste like liquid charcoal. The stuff you drink, well its like taking a steak and cooking so its dried out, past well done, and slathering steak sauce and other sweet, fatty rich caffeinated sauces, and saying its great, a lot of its image and caffeine.
It is so not fair, in england we dont have as many selections of starbucks drinks as they do in america, because iam in love with starbucks frappuccino's and we dont have that many selections, anyway starbucks is actually the best coffee house on the face of this earth, i go as much as i can but it is so far from my house i dont go that much, i have just bin craving a frappuccino since sunday the 11th of november.
The Java Chip Fraps are yummy! I don't get them often because I'm not as big on the blended iced drinks as I am the hot or the Iced White Mocha (non-fat, no-whip, quad shot). :)
It's probably good you're not as accessible to the Sbucks. Saves money and you can appreciate the drinks more when it's few and far between. (Um. I still love mine.)

Also i tried the Java Chip frappuccino and it was delicious, also i had my first Mocha frappuccino and that was yummy. Ialso love the hot chocolate with whipped cream and cocoa powder sprinkles it is yummy

My fave hot is either an Americano, lots of room (I add the cream and sugar), a triple Vanilla Latte, 5 pumps, non fat, an Almond Mocha, or Peppermint Mocha. :)
With your Americano.. Ask for a Grande Breve Americano-Misto. Your Americano will be filled halfway and topped of with froathed H&H - it's good. And your Vanilla Latte.. just say Triple-grande 5 pump Vanilla non-Fat no-Foam Latte..

Cool! Thanks for the technical term. :) Nope, I don't get angry at all. In fact today I ordered an Iced Black and White nonfat no whip. They handed it to me hot. I was bummed because I was craving something icey but didn't think it was that big of a deal. :) They stopped making the Valencia. It's now the Orange Mocha, which isn't as good as the Valencia. No, a latte doesn't come with whip. Once someone asked me if I wanted whip and another time someone actually added whip.

If you do a search for Karmaband here on YouTube you'll find their channel. On it there is a video of their song "Zero Miles". This is one of my fave songs and I was stoked they put it to video! Hi Ann, That was fun. I have a tip for you. When you order your Americano, rather than saying "Grande, with room" say "Tall in a Grande Cup". You will save 25 cents, and if you add that up, in one year, you will have more than 90 dollars with which you can buy a cheap editing program so you can do all the cool stuff you want to do.
Hi, siweltnek! They actually offered me a tall Americano in a grande cup or even charged me for the tall since I get so much room... but the reason I like the room is because it's more concentrated. I work at a drive-thru starbucks, and your drink that you say is high maintenance, is not half bad compared to some people that come into my store.
We have a woman who we call the chai lady who orders a tripple venti half-calf soy no water chai [yes, that is right. shots of espresso in the chai] with ten pumps of chai, two pumps of sugar-free vanilla, stirred, with whip in the top of the cup, and an extra grande cup of whip on the side. now THAT is high maintenance.

But your not, because there is that one thing inside you asking yourself, "why does he almost hate me?" Thats because Starbucks makes shitty coffee, and tries to market it as good, and you love it. Hey coffee isn't supposed to taste like liquid charcoal. The stuff you drink, well its like taking a steak and cooking so its dried out, past well done, and slathering steak sauce and other sweet, fatty rich caffeinated sauces, and saying its great, a lot of its image and caffeine.

It is so not fair, in england we dont have as many selections of starbucks drinks as they do in america, because iam in love with starbucks frappuccino's and we dont have that many selections, anyway starbucks is actually the best coffee house on the face of this earth, i go as much as i can but it is so far from my house i dont go that much, i have just bin craving a frappuccino since sunday the 11th of november.
P.S are the 'Java Chip frappuccinos' nice ???

The Java Chip Fraps are yummy! I don't get them often because I'm not as big on the blended iced drinks as I am the hot or the Iced White Mocha (non-fat, no-whip, quad shot). :)
It's probably good you're not as accessible to the Sbucks. Saves money and you can appreciate the drinks more when it's few and far between. (Um. I still love mine.)

Lol, i know but i got like 3 frappuccinos one day (i know iam a right fat cow) and then since then iam like craving it all the time.
Also i tried the Java Chip frappuccino and it was delicious, also i had my first Mocha frappuccino and that was yummy. Ialso love the hot chocolate with whipped cream and cocoa powder sprinkles it is yummy

My fave iced drink is a grande quad white mocha, non fat, no whip! Mmmm...
My fave hot is either an Americano, lots of room (I add the cream and sugar), a triple Vanilla Latte, 5 pumps, non fat, an Almond Mocha, or Peppermint Mocha. :)

With your Americano.. Ask for a Grande Breve Americano-Misto. Your Americano will be filled halfway and topped of with froathed H&H - it's good. And your Vanilla Latte.. just say Triple-grande 5 pump Vanilla non-Fat no-Foam Latte..

haha... When I was in Montreal I treated myself to a cafe mocha from Starbucks... all the heavy cream, every Thursday... It was my one day to treat myself every week. This was also tanning salon and manicure day:)
now I live in the country... there's a Tim Hortons in the closest town...lol
I have maybe 2 coffees from there every day now hehe... "they wanted me to go to rehab, I said no no no!" hahaha

Cool! Thanks for the technical term. :) Nope, I don't get angry at all. In fact today I ordered an Iced Black and White nonfat no whip. They handed it to me hot. I was bummed because I was craving something icey but didn't think it was that big of a deal. :) They stopped making the Valencia. It's now the Orange Mocha, which isn't as good as the Valencia. No, a latte doesn't come with whip. Once someone asked me if I wanted whip and another time someone actually added whip.

LOL! The quad is 4 shots of espresso in a grande white mocha. It's pretty intense if you drink it fast enough. You can get the shakes if you haven't eaten. LOL!

No, you're right, they're not supposed to. I got a V. Latte once before and it actually had whip in it! I thought only the mochas did. So I drank it happily and the next time, no whip. So! I decided to specify. :)

If you do a search for Karmaband here on YouTube you'll find their channel. On it there is a video of their song "Zero Miles". This is one of my fave songs and I was stoked they put it to video! I really don't have an angle on YT. I just love to entertain (and edit). I have performed several times, however. :)

hmm, well I checked out Karma and wasn't too crazy about it :( The song's sort of a downer, as well as the others too? Nothing really clicked for me personally. But I still love the shirt design tho! Infact I am having a subconcious hankering for mint chocolate chip ice cream looking at it. Seriously, the design with the mint and the light brown background with the collar/sleeves being chocolate...am I crazy or did they subconciously design that into the shirt???

Hi Ann, That was fun. I have a tip for you. When you order your Americano, rather than saying "Grande, with room" say "Tall in a Grande Cup". You will save 25 cents, and if you add that up, in one year, you will have more than 90 dollars with which you can buy a cheap editing program so you can do all the cool stuff you want to do.

Hi, siweltnek! They actually offered me a tall Americano in a grande cup or even charged me for the tall since I get so much room... but the reason I like the room is because it's more concentrated. They use less water and so the drink is mostly the espresso. :D Oh, and I eventually realized I have Windows Movie Maker so my more recent videos are edited. w00t, w00t!
