Asta n-are importanta. Altfel, azi Transnistria, maine Transilvania...

You such хрень speak! Actually in Dnestr region 3 official languages. Russian, Ukrainian and Moldavian. Not who not whom does not restrain. And you can quiet tell and get education on any of native languages.
Attention: Glebbukov as his name states is a Russian ethnic who "volunteers" his inane ideas that Romanians are different nations simply because they live on different sides of river Prut.
He claims he's only a "corcitura" (mix breed) with some Romanian blood in him which is false: he is 100% Russian so he is just a liar on all levels.
@Barbakott here is the year August 19, 1941 - January 29, 1944 ! do you want to know what happened next with romanians from transnistria after ww2 ? 1 mil civilians were killed by russians and another 1 million were deported in kazachstan..the soviets brainwashed and russified them and told that romanians were evil and they were nazi..even today in transnistria is used the same propaganda.. and if they hear you speak romanian is posibly you get shot in the head
@VoidRou in Transnistria never lived 1 million of people (all the more so ethnic romanians). My grandmother is from Transnistria and i know what i say. There was collectivization, nationalisation of property, even deportations, but not in such huge scale as you describe. In Transnistria moldovans make 1/3 of entire population.
I think that this woamn is brave one because she disscused such painfull topic at camera. I am from Chisinau and I am not agree with what she said totally, in Chisinau 20 % of population speak russian as mother language, from this 20 %, 65 % understood romanian but rarelly speak in it. In rest, 80 % of population of Chisinau had romanian as mother language but 40 % from this know very well russian.
Over 80% of the population is ethnic Romanian in the Republic of Moldova (Besserabia). Even in the occupied county of Transnistria the majority ethnic group is still ethnic Romanian majority(over 35%); the other minorities are...minorities.
The girl, however said it al: "I'm afraid" (to speak Romanian).
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
DOWN WITH ROMANIAN IMPERIALISM and their Lies!=)80 %man you are lying=)you forgot that this is Moldova and in majority we are Moldavians so in this country) people that have passports of Romania maybe 50 % =)) but they are not Romanians they are citizens of Romania but their nationality is Moldavian so you are Lying) and Russia are not occupants they are peacemakers because people that are ill with radical-nationalism can attack Tiraspol as they attacked Parlament in Chisineu or like in 1992
no, you are russian not moldovian. if you were moldovian, you wil understood romanian, cuz they understand romanian language.
and for those who dont know the difference bethween romanian language and moldovan "language", let me explain you: ACCENT. this is like diff between brits and americans. they speak same language, but diff accents.
fuck you communists russians, and let people live in peace.
Even in Transnistria the majority ethnic group is Romanian; unfortunately, the Russian occupation and Russian AND Ukrainean colonists have imposed the specter of torture, fear and anti-Romanian persecution.
They don't even accept that Moldovans are Romanian ethnics and have "baptized" Romanian as the "Moldovan" language ( like calling the English spoken in California the "Californian" language (sic!).
Where are you getting this 80% of Moldovans are romanians?? In transnistria Slavic Russians and Ukrainians are 70% of the population.
Russians dont even accept Moldovans as romanians?? Man, Moldovans dont accept themselves as romanians why should the russians?
california? Bad example
It is like Scotland and England, but the Moldovan language and accent was not reformed as much as romanian language. In 1800 romanian becomes reconstructed language. You cannot deny the truth.
@glebbukov: Some moldovans don't accept themselves as romanians because they're continuously subjected to russian propaganda. Check out youtube video watch?v=ORoiViiPS-M
And it's not like Scotland and England, it's like Scotland and Britain. Romania = Moldavia + Wallachia + Transylvania (+ other smaller regions). There is no Romania without Moldavia. Moldavia = Western Moldavia (now in Romania) + current R. Moldova. Read about the history or Romania.
@glebbukov: Not true. All moldavians proudly accept themselves as moldavians (ask anyone in Iasi, Galati or Bacau). But moldavians, wallachians and transylvanians consider they are part of the same ethnic group, which we call "romanian". It's like bavarians: they are all proud to call themselves bavarian, but in the same time consider themselves german.
Well there is no reason that Moldavians in Moldova have to "accept" themselves as Romanians, our two countries have such different sides and different histories that we cannot be subjected with the concept that we are the same as the Romanians in Romania. Because honestly, we are not them. We fought against the Nazi's. We were with the Soviet Union... I don't believe Moldavia had much of an option, but what happened has happened, and to deny that would mean to deny history.
@glebbukov: On "There is no Romania without Moldavia": I meant no disrespect to RM, but RM is not Moldavia. Read the history! Moldavia created Romania in the first place. Al. I. Cuza first won the elections in Moldavia, as a strong supporter of the union with Wallachia. After that he also won the elections in Wallachia. Both elections were fair and democratic by the standard of the times.
Here's the deal: Cause and Effect. This process shapes everything we know around us today. It makes the world the world.
Cause and Effect made Western Moldavia join Wallachia to form Romania..
Why? Because the Russian Empire already got Basarabia and is getting closer and closer. Not because suddenly All people in Wallachia and Moldavia agreed that they must be the same nation of people.... No, it is silly to think that. Politics brought the people together.
And yes, RM is Moldavia. Please let me add to say, =Cause and effect= introduced Old Russian words into the Romanian grammar and =Cause and Effect= reconstructed the vocabulary of the region.
There is no meaning of Romanian nation, there is only cause and effect of the peoples living in Moldavia Wallachia and The rest of the Danube.
We are all the same people in the world., but the processes of Cause and Effect made us change
@glebbukov: Of course you are not the same as the romanians in Romania, two centuries of (forced) separation left their mark on our cultures. The point was that we are part of the same larger ethnic group - call it vlach if you don't like the name "romanian". Culturally you are also different from the moldavians in Western Moldavia, who all consider themselves romanian, but if you want to consider yourself a different ethnic group from them, you should use another name, not "moldavian".
@glebbukov: And no offense, but RM is not Moldavia. Geographically, Moldavia is from the Carpathians to the Dniester, so RM is less then half of Moldavia. Politically, the statehood of the Moldavian Principality was inherited by Romania.
@tomaspreila I agree brother. No neighbor of the Russians like the Russians; they hate them with passion. In fact no Russian likes their own people: They are schizophrenic and dellusional people. Schizophrenic because they pretend to be called "liberators" when in fact they were occupiers; friends, when in fact they were enemies; and allies, when in fact they stole from watches to land, railroad tracks, gold, you name it. Dellusional because they expect gratitude from victims.
@radurambo Whether you are truly Romanian or you just pretend to be one, or are a "corcitura" (mixed breed), try going to Eastern Moldova and say out loud "I'm Romanian". They'll kick your Romanian ass and "love for Russians" all the way over the Prut river.
And this is in a ROMANIAN land, with predominant ethnic-Romanians and where your favorite Russians are occupying, persecuting, prohibitting Romanian language schools, churches, organizations, media and other Constitutional rights.
@Romanisipunctum you telling some bullshit.. Transnistria are ethnic Russians, so thats the reason why the war there begins.. Its a russian ground, not a romanian or moldovan
@Markusroxx Transnistria is in Moldova. Moldova is 89% filled with Romanian ethnics (by the way Romanian and "Moldavian" is the same language). Between Russia and Moldova-Romania there is this little country called Ukraine. The ethnic minorities in these Romanian countries are just that: minorities. And they took over the land by deporting to and killing people in Siberia for 300 years of Russian occupations. Romanians were there (Dacia) before the Russians were created as a people.

Funny thing is, the main population divisions are Ukrainian and Russian... Hmm.
What happened to that Moldovan/Romanian majority you were talking about?
Also, since when does ethnicity matter? These people aren't Moldovan, Romanian, Russian, or Ukrainian. They're Transnistrian.
