Thanks for the great memories. My late husband is now enjoying his music on the other side, just as he did at every beach music festival we ever saw them at (and there were hundreds). Whenever General Johnson sang Patches . . . . . . .

Johnson also is survived by his wife of 48 years, Julia Johnson; son Antonio Johnson of Union City, Ga.; and daughter Sonya Johnson Payne of College Park, Ga.
