you can connect a bass amp head Ampeg Heritage Series SVT-CL 2011 300W Tube Bass Amp Head in 2 subwoofer Mackie HD1801 Powered Subwoofers 1600 watts each. instead of a cabinet?
or Ampeg SVT-4 PRO Series Bass Head 1200 watts in 2 mackie subwoofers 1600 watts each? cause I have the mackies but I need a bass for our system the can be possible?
Liked her finger-style playing a lot. Great sound; but I still don't like TC amps. Too many Mickey Mouse features & controls that are hard to see on a dimly lit stage.
@b30307 Ah ok, makes sense. The RH and the Blacksmith (the bigger ones) have really bright LEDs which is great on stage! As you say though it's pretty hard to see black on black!
I love to hear bass guitarist warm up but i really love to hearing the fingering mostly though especially when they play notes that makes the bass sound like its singing that is so skillfull and awe-inspiring to me but to see a women do it it truly shows that there,s no boundries in anything specifically in music.
i have this amp in 1x15 option. Its so loud i never had turn the volume over half and still am louder than my drummer and two guitarists. The Sound is very good for this price and generally its a very nice, loud as hell, but a bit heavy amp.
I'm very interested in getting this amp. Could this amp be used for metal too? I'm looking for an amp that can sound good for funk, Rock, and metal. because I heard in a review the this wasn't a good amp for metal
I tried the 115 version of this amp out yesterday, and it's really great! Tried it with a Fender Geddy Lee jazz, a Squier fretless jazz, and a Rickenbacker and I got great tones for all sorts of styles out of all of them. This is much cheaper than the Rebelheads too
@RageicaNiels It's a Yamaha, looks to be a custom or high-end BB series. I love Yamaha basses... I play a customized 1985 BB300, the very early models of these.
@claytond Dude, I have the RH450 and when I tell you to buy one and not consider it too hard. You can get any tone out of that amp. I have many basses, single coil, soapbar, jazz, P bass split humbuckers and everyone sounds incredible through this amp. I've had many boutique amps, Ampegs SVT's, Eden, Ashdown, SWR and although they're great, this amp is just second to none IMO. Go try one out if you can.

I have the 2x10, I like it better than Swr Redhead or Mesa Walkabout which I have also owned.

@9ooglesuxballs An elastic band, used as a damper of some sort, I think.

@AttitudeCastle
Not sure which model it was? Similar to these and fairly new. At a benefit gig where everyone shared a few amps.

hey that black thing at the neck..is it a cappo or just something to mute the strings..
btw love the tightness in the sound..tc electronics
iceonstrings 1 year ago
@iceonstrings: just simply mute the string like what Victor Wooten does.

@timothygroovy: Thanx...oh yeah i seen Victor n Reggie use those.. would a hairband (the one used to tie a pony tail) serve the same purpose..

Only the first scene was a slap demo. The other 70% was fingerstyle...

I love the way it sounds.... But I can't stop thinking that 50% of this warm and crisp sound comes from the bass, not from the amp.
If TC could make a demo vid with a Jaguar bass, I would consider to buy one !

IME, it's to keep the open strings from ringing and creating overtones, harmonics, and muddying up the sound.
