  • IT'S TRUE! Nearly all fruit trees will take a few years to start producing fruit. I bought a fruit tree and first year it gave me 2 and the 2nd year it bore 2 then the 3rd year it bore 5. my mom has fruit trees and when she planted them years ago, I recall them taking at least 4 years to start getting plenty fruit from them. Sometimes they may do better in a greenhouse. But when we need them now unfortunantly we have to buy the seeds.. God Bless you. TX

  • I put 2 apricot tres in the ground in early spring of 2008. No bloom. 2009 no bloom....

Someone told me you have to wait 5 years before fruiting on apricots????

    P.S. North Texas...

  • Hi sonofsun4,

Did they asked you for a permit? I am confused... I got a 6 year old tree and it has already little green apricots and thus the other one is 1 year old so I am sure it will blow when ripe at 6+ years of the age of growth or so I was told..

  • I feel like I know the apricot so much better - thanks!
