  • Very well done and thanks for sharing. My wife and I will be doing this for the first time next month, just can't wait.

  • how fast were you riding? looks like the course is mostly flat. im actually doing this in october.

  • @xpo166 I was about an hour and a half out on the course (approx. 18 mph). Other people were taking it faster; a lot of people were taking it a lot easier, which was fine.

Yes, it's almost entirely flat (a little up and down, from the beach to the bluffs, but no major climbs), and it's a sweet course, blocked for the footrace that comes later, so you don't have to stop every half-mile for a red light. You can put the pedal down and go!

I'll probably do it again this year too. Good fun!

  • I'll be doing it for the first time this year, can't wait. Bummed no bike route for the LA Marathon :(

  • You guys did a pretty good job too

  • I passed out drinks to the runners and bikers

I was the one with medium long rocker hair

  • Looks pretty cool!

  • Nicely done. How long did it take you to complete the 26.2 miles? It looked like you were really doing well. I completed it in 1:24:29, a PR for me.

  • I finished in 1:28:56, about 4.5 minutes behind you. You might see yourself in some of the shots that show oncoming traffic. (I was a little faster last year, at 1:25:38, but I'm not complaining. It's fun to take it pell-mell at whatever speed and not have to worry about stop lights and cross traffic anywhere.)
