im so thankfull to james brown for this song.IT IS SOOO TRUE what he says.heroin makes you do things u would never do.but dont forget cocaine either.i was addicted for years to heroin and cocaine.but my cocaine addiction was the worsed.two totally diffrent drugs, yet sooo addictive.im free now thank god.
I remember in grade 6 we studied illegal drugs and their effects on people-remember hearing this song in one of the movies they showed in class. That message has stuck with me to this very day...knew a guy I went to high school with who just OD'd not too long ago-this track is still relevant today we need to hear it more often...RIP James Brown this could be your lasting legacy!
The idiots who approved removal of the King Heroin Mini Lecture must be utterly mad, I showed my sons as it was the best educator re drugs I have ever seen. James Brown ....King Heroin is a Masterclass.
To all who are new to recovery, liten to this song ,it speaks the truth. We all are special and nothing is imposible and what I mean you beat this ugly addiction if you are willing to fight for your life,I did. Just reach out and ask for help and if help is offered take it,I gaurantee you won't regret it.
I would say that this song is the single most meaningful contribution that James Brown could have made to benefit society. When I made the video, it was really hard NOT to blink for the duration of the song--I think I blinked once, but I "cheated" a few times by rolling my eyes up white, so they wouldn't get dried out.

Good message, in the song, socially conscious--although he was a PCP-tripper himself, and probably a junkie as well...

No smoka da ropa. I was just going through a range of horror-show expressions with my eyes. I'm a big fan of Lon Chaney Sr.
