Actually, the artist did create the violence - yes, it was filmed in rural mexico, but he instructed the killing of the animals in order for him to film it. There were six animals – a sheep, a horse, an ox, a pig, a goat and a doe all in the same place, all being killed with a sledgehammer. His purpose for doing this was to ask ‘Do these incidents represent slaughter or sacrifice in the name of art?" TWAT.
