I've always thought of it in that context, but it works beautifully to highlight anyone's loss, especially if it seems senseless. I marched to Stop the War on Iraq before the invasion, and I marched as much to save the lives of young soldiers as anyone. I hope we reach critical mass soon in believing that war is simply never again an option.

Spc. Adam M. Wenger, 27, of Waterford, Mich., died Nov. 5 in Tunnis, Iraq, of injuries sustained during a non-combat incident. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 76th Field Artillery, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.

It is of course awful that 3907 U.S soldiers have died in Iraq since 2003 but it is a big world out there - bigger than the U.S.A - Aids deaths in 2007 alone? 2.1 million. A.I.D.S orphans in Africa total 12 million.
And that is sad and unneccessary, too... even one death from war or AIDS is a tragedy that could be stopped, if ignorance and hatefulness was removed from the equation

no war is holy, if you understand a single word of the christian philosophy you should know: god doesnt want his children to kill each other - - - under any circumstances... it doesnt matter if your attacking in oder defend yourself...

My heart breaks for our soldiers, died and alive. What are they dying for now? A man who is too small to admit he screwed up and how the power to continue. My prayers go for our soldiers and their families.

Why are they dumb. I don't agree on this war but without them the government would pick anyone they want and do you want that? Would you like think that this might be your last day? My husband is thier and he is protecting your freedom.

i hate to tell you this, but your husband isn't protecting shit. we aren't there because they threatened to take our freedom. he is over there risking his life for no reason. he might die. his death would be for no reason. do not act like this war has something to do with our freedom. because it does not.

This clip is not about being against the war or not. It's about paying respect and if you don't have it for these men and women than move along but don't disrespect. You don't talk about people that are no longer able to defend themselves. Please if you want to argue about the war and state your opinion don't leave it at a place where it won't do anything but hurt others that are trying to remember and honor their loved ones.

can you read? is this a capability that you possess? obviously not. it is out of respect for these men and women that i post these comments. they are NOT fighting for freedom. we are sending them to be slaughtered like animals. we all want to sit back and cry over the ones we have lost. Get up and do something!!! these men and women are dieing for no reason and we do nothing but cry, rather than ending the slaughter. It is time that you start honoring those that have been lost forever!

Please. I am against this war, but I do respect bour troops and mourn their loss. That's why I made this video. Our country will always need dedicated servicemen who are ready for action when called upon. The challenge is in making sure that the people who have the power to send them to fight are not corrupt, like the Bush Administration is.
