This man is all over the map on his examples, but I understand his intention. Two important points should be emphasized: Glorification of violence, especially in a mass media, is not good for anyone. Freedom is only freedom if you're alive to enjoy it, so regulation is justifiable. What is good for black people is good for the country, and we must learn to live together as a society. I'm white and completely agree with Wise. Growing up I saw how kids started modeling their whole lives around hiphop. But they're listening to the commercialized version that promotes sex, violence, and drugs only because the labels know those are popular vice topics. Kids are losing their faith in society before they even get in middle school.
