  • To follow up my previous post. I have priced health insurance for a family of four and at last check it would cost me $2,400+ a month for basic crappy insurance. That is one bill I can't afford a month.

Health Care in the U.S. is broken and most definitely needs reform. I'm not asking for anyone to pick up the tab for myself and family. I'm asking for affordable insurance. How we get there I am not sure, but I will most definitely tell you is sucks not having insurance.

  • Health Care reform is most definitely needed. As a family who pays out of pocket for Doctor, Dentist and prescriptions it gets very expensive at times. If I were to get deathly sick, I have two choices. Sell my home or let whatever illness ails me put me 6 feet under. I would chose the later as I would not want my children homeless. My house would never pay for all of the care I may need. So I'd rather have a home for my children. Pretty sad choice I have, but for my kids, it's well worth it.

  • this is all made up by obama's homies lol

  • do you thin it wuill be any different when the gov takes over healthcare? it will be the same but worse! the gov will deny certain procedues, ration just like ins companies! you will see! just those that voted for obama are now regretting it, every that is fighting for this gov take over will regret in 5 years down the road! then i will be one mad mother fucker because we will not be able to change this

  • Why do you think it will be worse. Because Beck told you so?

  • Yeah see that happened to me too i had no money to see a doctor so they threw me out, then the doctors beat me down in the alley way and told me i better have thier money or else. Now the national guard sits in front of the doors to keep me out. yup. Its horrible, the hospital points and laughs cause i cant get health care.

  • No, not hypocritical. And not trying to scare people, tryint to make people see the truth. If you want to pay to help someone else see a doctor go ahead, I think any kind of charity to help someone less fortunate is great. Donate time or money to help others with medical bills, without housing, to help animals in a humane society, to help wilderness societies, all charity is really wonderful. Just don't try to make ME pay for the charity you think is important.

  • You do realize that you ARE paying for the health care of the uninsured, in the most expensive way possible - for emergency ward treatment.

Making HC insurance more affordable & getting more people able to buy it reduces your "involuntary" contributions.

  • Oh dear Oh dear. This clip has moved me to tears. It has really upset me.

  • Wow. We do not support a single payer system for the same reasons as President Obama. It would be too radical a change and we cannot afford it anyway. But we do support a non profit government run public option, and this would be a great video for my boss David Houston, who asked me to find something for the less educated folks in Morgan County, Indiana, who have no clue what the health care reform debate is all about. Thanks for sharing it. Nice to put the faces on the numbers.

  • this propaganda

  • "Propaganda" ? So, Gary I guess those people never really died from no or lack of health care ? Medicare and medicaid are only going broke because people are living longer and fraud from the private company's that run them .However, it's much cheaper than the private sectors over head cost .Your so full of misinformation , it's no wonder people are going to these town halls enraged .I'll debate you anytime on the point , on my page if you would like ?

  • wow, I would love to debate you on this but I have a music project that is consuming my time. but after that I am all open to debate as long as it is civil. I will say it would be refreshing to debate an honest broker. I have only had HSA for a little over a 1 now So I was one whod no health care for 12 years. but I don'twant government care it don't work. Peace Gary

  • It's always civil with me Gary .Not only is it civil but if you have a point , I'll admit it .However, I expect the same .If it doesn't work , then maybe you should tell the V.A. hospitals to go private . It does work but it's not perfect , like anything else .I look forward to a debate , when you have time .Take it easy .

  • Never have i see the Republican just flat out lie and not one of them can stand up and say it's all a bunch of Bullshit ....They are watching Fox Channel and taking those numbers and just flat out lying and trying to scare people .....This single payer Health-care can be paid for easily ....Look how fast we went to Iraq, did anybody ask how much that is going to cost before we invaded .....This Election was a mandate for reform , we need to stop being lied to and use our heads

  • It's kind of strange the seniors are there protesting. They must not care about there kids or grandkids. They want there medicare but fuck the kids and grandkids they don't need health insurance, Hypocritical if you ask me

  • great job. put it on favorites

  • Incredible video Bruce ! It amazes me how fucken ignorant and cold these anti health care reform ass holes can be ! Keep up the good work everyone !

  • The Public Option plan is still very much on the table. This media blitz is nothing more than the latest scare tactic to try and sway the people who support the president. Do not fall for it. If you want facts regarding Health Care visit the comment section of my profile. Become a part of the movement and see how you can support the cause without spending a dime.

  • This is appalling. We all have health insurance in Canada. We pay for it as part of our income taxes. When I go to a new doctor I get asked about "pre-existing" conditions so they will be treated along with any new ones. When I need another treatment, medication, surgery etc. no one tells me I've reached my limit and can't have it. I feel for you guys. Get thee to Town Hall meetings!!!

  • These are the images and stories people need to see; it makes the need for health care reform as real and as urgent as it truly is. This video is really excellent, Bruce--thank you. Beautiful tune to go with it, as well.

  • "PRE-EXISTING CONDITION", "RECISSION"

The scariest words in the language of health care.

A lot scarier than the Boogeyman's "Socialized medicine"

  • ANYONE OPPOSED TO HEALTH CARE REFORM

    is either:

    a) retarded

    b) employed by or invested in the Insurance Industry (aka "a shill")

    c) a brainwashed liar

    d) rich and has good insurance (and no empathy)

    e) a paranoid fool

    f) some combination thereof.

  • Well, one could argue that the U.S. is already terribly underwater and shouldn't take on anymore entitlements. That isn't a bad arguement. I'd argue how about we cut farming and military subisdies first. We'd have billions for a single-payer system AND enough left over to pay off at least the interest on the debt.

  • UnitedHealthcare CEO Stephen Hemsley has $744,232,068 in stock options. 2007 pay $13.2 mil; 2008 $3.2 mil.

CIGNA CEO Edward Hanway made $120million in last 5 years. Stock options valued at $28,881,000.

Humana CEO Michael McCallister's 2007 salary was $10.3 mil. 2008, $1,017,308. His stock options total $60,865,194.

  • All Insurance Companies CEOs HAVE EXCELLENT HEALTH INSURANCE & can afford it. Agreed?

All Senators in Congress HAVE EXCELLENT HEALTH INSURANCE & can afford it. Agreed?

Republicans don't give a sh*t if YOU the Teabagger/Birther/Deather have a good plan or not, or if YOU have NO INSURANCE, because YOU cannot afford it !!

Only in AMERICA would a dumbass consumer protest against REFORM & PUBLIC OPTION and in doing so .. Protest AGAINST HIS OWN BEST INTEREST.

    TALK ABOUT BEING STUPID !!

  • Jesus Christ what kind of country would knowingly continue to do this to it's own citizens?

To call the reps who are blocking health care visit my profile and look in the comment section.

  • Two words that our at the root of our problem: Brainwashed idiots.

  • Then lets go take over the whitehouse channel. The lunatics have taken over... It is about time we kick things into full gear and make sure we are heard. They can not ignore our comments there. They can not scare us with guns or shout us down. The worst they can do is spam us and someone in the whitehouse will be smart enough to catch on to that. He needs to hear from US! WE CAN DO THIS! PASS IT ON!

  • keep raising the rallying cry. ;-)

    thx for your efforts.
