Really good ,even masters do the same thing differently so the rest of us should relax and do our own thing rather than imitating each other. Its a principal not a dance routine. Thanks for the post.
Two tan tiens -- one in gut, one in center of the chest. Body can internally twist, tan tiens can rotate in opposite directions, setting up a dynamic tension. When tension released, energy generated without external motion. This internal "wringing" is not taught by any tai chi "master" I know of, regardless of style. Further hint -- there are four kuas: groin and shoulders.
On the argument of "not rooted" if you take a closer look to his feet, when he step into the next form, he's starting planting his heel in his medial(foot inside)aspect and then goes from the heel to the ball of the feet (medial aspect) and continue up to the point on the big toe head. That movement creates a straight line between the three anatomical points giving the balance he needs to be rooted. To the none detailed observer, gives the feeling that he is unbalanced due to the .....
Looking & feeling graceful have nothing to do with taiji. The long, flowing, movements of CM-C's form are a distraction from real taiji, and are what he taught Westerners when he wanted them to study without gaining the skills he taught his Chinese students, such as Ben Lo, TT Liang, and William Chen. You can do this form as long as you live, and you will feel nice, but you will not penetrate into the true essence of taiji. And if all you can do is insult me, don't waste everyone's time.
@waldman0121. he fucked over tt liang when they moved to the US. as 4 never getin the tru essence of tai chi, pls inform us on it then. the form is only a personal guide every1s tai chi is diff even cmc kept changin it. it allows u 2 practice the principals on ur own the best u can. p.s how cum every cmc student practices the same form even those chinese who've trained with him. & if there keepin it 2 themselves then that isn't what tai chi is about & they will never get it either. peace

Oh! poor guys who argues about this master's root. Even though we should root when we practice taichi, our foot also should be light when it moves.

Trained with this guy once. Pushing him was hard. xD

What a rude boy! I feel you cannot be a taichi material. It must have been impossible to push him whereas it was too easy to throw away you.

The former explanation of foot anatomy applied to Tai Chi can be found in Willian CC Chen web site.

...due to the "slight" elevetation of the lateral (foot out side) aspect of the foot...I'll hope this clarification do not insult anyone.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
this taiji is listless and dead -- the individual is not rooted although the movements are well coordinated. It's just arm waving.

Ignorancy is worst than be dead!

io almeno ho avuto questi benefici.
