  • Absolutely ridiculous...in the sexiest kinda way.

  • Ugh this is so good, I love that it sounds so smooth and in the cut.

  • @thesoupmandude why is that funny?

  • What kind of guitar is that?

  • C'est du bon. Good job

  • @aleksandersucharski This is another Jarius groove that I've gotta steal out or respect for his style. I love watching his videos because I hear what he plays then I find it on my guitar. By the time I watch it again I see that he's playing it in a completely different way from how I found it. As a great guitarist once said "you've gotta break the rules if you wanna sound funky". Jarius proves it every time.

  • anyone who dislikes this has NO soul and you probably play bullshit metal or something

  • Gmin7 hammering on the 9th. Then Gmin7-G#min7-Amin7 to D7#9. That's the basic progression. You're on your own with those oh-so-smooth fills he adds in between :D

  • anyone got the chords down?

  • Wow...surprised to hear a bop lick at the end of that.

  • What kind of guitar is that?

  • i would never think that simple Gm9 voicing could sound so nice. i'm stealing that groove, it's tasty.

  • what song is this?

  • What is that chord progression . If possible could you make a tab.

  • fuk thats great

  • The channel is called hearandplay, maybe it's a hint?

  • Thanks, very helpful. Cool guitar.

  • JAIRUS MOZEE!!!

  • love it

  • progression??

  • how does he do that motorcycle thing

  • what do you mean like were is it in the video

  • Motercycle thing...

You mean the slide at 0:32? He just slides down the low E string that's all.

  • yeah, you could call it that as well, same thing.

jeez i hope 'resesmilk2' is getting all this!

  • lol lets hope so...

  • is the pattern the same as the melodic/harmonic minor scales?

  • heard of melodic/harmonic minor? start on the five of those scales and you have harmonic/melodic dom. (fifth mode)

  • Huh???????????????

  • i wish there was someone who just broke down those phatty licks (like the one at the end of this vid) so i could learn it.... i could learn it in like two seconds, but the stupid youtube doesn't let you move the cursor any where but several seconds before it starts

  • try messing around with D harmonic dominant or D melodic dominant, even D altered and resolve it to a chord tone in Gm. Voila!

  • watch what root note he is playing. the first is G then you can figure out the quality- gmin7 and he's adding the 9th also (A)

then he goes to an A half diminshed then to a d7 and he's just mucking around on those three chords and adding extensions on top.

  • thanks, that comment helps...

  • I would like to learn more of the R&B guitar style where can I get this information ? Thanks

  • cool playing man.CTROCK THE HIP HOP ROCK GUITAR ARTIST.

  • you all want it all on a plate use your ears!

  • haha, somebody just got theory dissed

  • ok how r pplz supposed to learn off dat

  • By listening and looking at the major closeup on what he's doing. It's not hard, just have some ambition.

  • That's the truth. What hes playing is actually extremely easy. He just plays a little bit faster and smoother than your average guitarists. But you guys should really take the time to just listen and sit down and learn the licks rather than have somebody give them to you. That's how the old guitar players did and thats why they were so good.

  • @atl2maryland how is it possible to simply learn something u dont know? Some people including myself won't know unless it is given to you.

  • @kwaseb I guess some people have that ability and others don't. It should be that much easier since you can see his hand placement and use that as a reference. Everything he's playing is SOMEWHERE on the guitar.. you just have to find it. You might not be at that level yet but you have to actually LISTEN to what is being played. The fact that you can clearly SEE and HEAR what is being played just makes me think some of you guitarists are just lazy. I had to do my learning by ear only.

  • @kwaseb My point is if you dont have good ears maybe being a musician isnt for you. If you just want to play guitar for fun thats cool. You can clearly see where his hands are at and what fret hes on. Along with that you can HEAR everything that's being played. If thats not enough I dont know what to tell you. Listen for the ROOT NOTE. Find what key he's in. When you can do that with basic songs you'll be able to move on and do it with complex songs.

  • @atl2maryland i do agree, with the video it makes it easy to play what he is playing, but when i started playing guitar 3 and half years i would not have been able to play this by just audio (which i probably should i have mentioned in my first comment). Now i pretty much can play stuff when i hear because i know my chords and how they sound, but like i said before, i could not do that when i started playing which most people have trouble with unless it is given to them.

  • @kwaseb I mean yea you're definitely right. It took me a few years to be able to play what I hear. I dont expect beginners to be able to do that. I just think ppl should try their best to figure it outon their own before asking what chords he uses and "how do you play that lick".

  • @atl2maryland Thanks. ive been saying all along. People who play instruments should be able to hear whats to be played, if they can't even after you tell them what key the song is in, they seriously need to consider another hobby or career. A true musician MUST have a good ear or they are no good.

  • @atl2maryland

    Totally true! Thumb up!

  • @atl2maryland YES>. that is what i do.... its actually faster.... nd im not an old guitarist..

  • Wow. I watched that I now I am a pro already!

  • how the hell am i suppose to learn that? lol

  • I can do that tooo...lol

    you cold bro

  • Great lesson............not

  • um..I Quit!

  • sweet hollow body

  • good energy

  • I'll do that in my next lifetime.

  • @jx14aby

    I KNOW that's right...ha ha...I feel ya...

  • @jx14aby why in next lifetime m8 ?? I mean apart from the flashy run at the end its all just kinda minor blues -based shapes isn't it ?? what I took to be the point of it - just an opinion tho, - was that slick sounding stuff can be surprisingly simple. besides...in next life you may have fins and not hands - do it now :)

  • Nice
