Hey I have a question.. I accepted christ, but after I sinned, badly... I messed up and repented.. I grew in my faith but I still feel the pain of my past sins even though I proclaimed Christ..Can you give me an answer?
I have a question. I am not saying i don't commit this, what i believe a crime, but how when SOME people are broken is about the only time they look to God and beg him for help, but they don't thank him for all the good that happens. Is it the fact that when good happens, SOME people lose sight of the source? not the direct source, but the source of the source.. for i believe everything happens under creation of God. If your friend buys you food. God made him capable of making that decision.

God is a very general word though. It simply means a power...satan is a god. He is the god of this world. Titles are different than names. The Father's true name is AHAYAH(I AM). You can find that in Exodus 3:13-15.
Instead of just going to church and listening to what your pastor says, open up the word and read it yourself. Use the King James Version because it most closely correlates to the original greek and hebrew. May the most High bless you.

One of the most unsettling things about the scriptures is how it tells us where and when evil entered into this world, but it's silent as to where it came from ultimately, it's origins. It's like we can see it in the world, and because of that we know what we don't know. I think it's a mystery God knows we can't handle, and he wants us to focus not on what it is but how it was defeated.

I agree people set examples for each other (especially a preacher) but at some point a person has to take responsibility for their own actions, that is if you believe in free will.

When someone is in a power position of any kind then I think they have an obligation to conduct themselves in such a way as not to negatively impact their flock or followers. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." [Isaiah 1:18] And it wasn't just "any tree" as the serpent slyly said, actually it is "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." [Genesis 2:9, 17]
But to "be like God" isn't such a bad hope so "...put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." [Eph.4:24] ;)

When I weighed it all and set aside my own opinions I started to see truth as a category that exists outside of my ability to understand it, or what I've come to accept Holy means. @AnythingGoesForUs lol i hear you! god is a metaphor for infinity. its old and warn out and a destraction. we are not separate beings but infinite space experiencing itself from endless perspectives. our eyes cannot see that we are mostly made up of empty space without the aid of a microscope and understanding of atomic structure. Science provides the same insights as these religions without the distractions and with evidence.

@theravenweeps I went to christian school as a child but got into zen when i got older. i say Objectives are things created by your mind. they don't exist outside of it. I see god as meaning infinity. percieving yourself as seperate from infinite space is what the devil did. trying to rival god. The religious traditions teach mainly the same things. Literal translation of them hides their true meanings that's all i'm saying. Treat others as yourself, because they are.

I continued going with friends,etc. If people realize that their actions have reactions that continue on and on, they might stop and think twice. @whonotmeyou cont..so the list of people affected by the pastors actions go on and on. Thank God I found solace in Him so I was able to take the abuse and thrive. But all of the other people that encountered the evil weren't so lucky. My point being is that one person's actions has a ripple effect that goes on for years and generations. Would that pastor have dipped his wick if he knew that it caused generations of people to suffer? Those who preach should take extra care.

@theravenweeps I'm sure the pastor had bad examples set by others for him as well, its impossible to know the hardships people don't speak of. If your parents started acting immorally that's on them. I agree people set examples for each other (especially a preacher) but at some point a person has to take responsibility for their own actions, that is if you believe in free will.

@whonotmeyou I realize that it is free will, I was only pointing out that our actions have reactions that we never even find out about. When someone is in a power position of any kind then I think they have an obligation to conduct themselves in such a way as not to negatively impact their flock or followers. Yes it is about choice but that doesn't change the chain of events that stemmed from that one action.

We all go to school from a young age so we can learn that someone always will be above us with simply no power to go against them. And to the people saying that god cured a friend of cancer after the person had only been diagnosed a few days earlier, there is such a thing as a doctor making a mistake and the person never having cancer in the first place.
