Elvin, God Bless Him, was the personification of humility and kindheartedness. He would start every show by just talking very quietly to the audience, letting them know how much he appreciated them being there, and how much he enjoyed being there himself. It always felt like a blessing, and you were lifted up before he even played a note. I always left those shows feeling like a better human being for having been there.
