Well, one must admire the musical tenacity of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, they just did not give up! Their persistence evidently paid off, as it was just a matter of time that they became known as Simon and Garfunkle ~ but it sure didn't happen overnight!

@JohnnyGNV You got that right! For starters. they had to record under a fictitious name to get their records played. When they were finally allowed to use their real names, their first record flopped. It was after their folk music got electrified with electric guitars & bass guitar that their music took off and they became "famous overnight".

@Rhinestonemusicrow The song was written by L. Austin, the flip side was written by S. Prosen - T. Layton-J. Darcey. I haven't any idea what GirlGeorge is talking about? Chris & Len are a different Tom & Jerry. This is the same Tom & Jerry who recorded Surrender, Fightin' Mad, Hey School Girl, Baby Talk, That's My Story, etc. There is plenty of info on the net about Simon & Garfunkel. This is NOT the same Tom & Jerry as Chris & Len, don't get them confused.
