Anyways, I just got mine inserted a few hours ago. I had no pain, no cramps, no heavy bleeding! Before I knew it, it was over. There are so many variables as to why they don't work for some women.

i had the iud for 5yrs this gave me bad anxiety, weight gain, pain, and bs. it took me a longtime to figure out what was going on - it is now out and i feel great no more anxiety, no more cramps, no more tiredness, no more anything.
i never use to have cramps, anxiety, panic, or anything.
@pickpocketparty No I had the copper one - 1 yr later and I am now all better : ) I have even lost a lot of weight!!! Birth control has been the worst experience ever - I have tried everything But honestly if you can handle the side effects if any the copper IUD is the best because you never have to think about it and its hormone free.
@harlowv thanks. i know everyone is different. i'm hoping it will work well for me. i started gainging weight, had no libido at all, had vaginal dryness and broke out with acne on depo after years of being on it with no problems. i'm extremely healthy and excercise everyday so it made no sense. i'm hoping that the no-hormone iud will work the best for me. i'm also going to take zinc to counteract with the copper (which has been shown to affect acne by decreasing zinc) so hopefully that helps!
Everytime I try and watch it, I cant seem to get past the 1 min 35 sec mark... not sure why. I've been trying to watch it for 3 weeks and it just wont let me :(
You can definitely get your strings cut shorter by your doctor. I hope everything else works out! Mine is brand new (in my first week) so I don't have any info on any smell difference.

@harlowv do you have the mirena? usually acne, weight gain, etc is from the Mirena since that IUD has hormones...
