Just reinstall Windows with a retail disc instead of using Acer's recovery discs. You can download one for free from a torrent site, since the computer already has a license.

Yeah your not the only one, i just formatted the driver and installed Xp. Also vista freezes on that comp cause of acer, if anyone want Xp drivers just say what u need :D

Jesus..... What a fool are you.....its not any mistake of computer but a mistake of windows.... When you open system disk ther should be program files, User, Windows and the file Bootmgr ......Just reinstal windows.....i have this notebook at home for a year and no mistake you wont find beter notebook ....try to learn something about yomputers :-) :-)
