I can't understand why some people buy a new Mercedes or BMW, when they could have bought a 4-7 year older Bentley or Rolls Royce that have double Bhp, double the luxury and is hand built.!?

@strit6 Well IT IS for a Rolls Royce and a Bentley. Have you even checked the price for servicing and parts for those things?! Look, I do love Rolls Royce and Bentleys but I would only buy them if I can afford to maintain them. People who buys BMWs and Mercs and Audis thinks of maintenance and fuel prices, you just don't know that they do but they actually do think of these things.

@strit6 People pay for the Germans because they're reliable, easy to live with for everyday use and has lots of gadgets...Bentleys and Rolls on the other hand are special and should remain special. I'd hate to see typical Merc/BM/Audi drivers cruising in freeways all day long in a Rolls taking away all of it's glamour.

I worked at MB and believe me,customers who buy S,SL,CLS,CL,M,ML and G classe DON'T care about fuel price or maintenance because they know that cars like thoes are thirsty and it cost a bit more than a VW to run. With more money u have,the more u can afford etc.

It depends on this: Do you want to buy a modern Bentley like the Continental GT, Flying Spur or do you want a classic one like the Arnage, Azure or even the Brooklands? The first are for young boys ( V12, more HP and faster but too many people have one ), the last ones are for real men ( V8, less HP, not as fast but have much more class and understatement ). I would prefer the bigger models Arnage f.e. From 2006/7 they got a facelift with other lights. Buy one of these. There are better.

Look at places like L.A., Dubai, Paris or London. The Continental GTs, Flying Spurs you'll find everywhere. But if you come with an Arnage, Azure, the older Continental or even the new Brooklands then you are somebody with a special taste, with real class. I would prefer an model of the Continental Coupe. The Continental T ( till 2003 ) or the Continental SC ( 1999 ), very special, very rare and state of the art. Believe me...

You nailed it with "unfortunately". Bentley's are indeed very nice inside. But the styling outside is awful, the exception being the Arnage, Arnage Final Series. The Rolls Royce Ghost and Phantom are much more accomplished and regal. They have vastly more presence on the road. From not to far a distance Bentleys do blend in, a Rolls Royce does not! In my opinion anyway.
