  • The lovely Linda with that magnificent voice, backed by America's best group (with Glenn Frey wearing a Chicago Blackhawks jersey) doesn't get any better than this !!!

  • She has a powerful voice and sings great. Too bad they dont make music like that anymore, good old rock & roll. Not to mention she georgous!!! Great song!!!

  • I was drawn to her femininity and voice like steel to magnet. No female singer since has had my attention since.

  • You should have seen her at the West Point show in the 60's with the see through blouse. She stole my heart right there.

  • WOW!!! Linda and the Eagles on the same stage!!! Great video!!!

  • My absolute FAVORITE female singer of all time (she could sing ANYTHING), with one of my favorite bands.

Now, if only I could find them doing DESPERADO TOGETHER...!

  • My absolute FAVORITE female singer of all time, with one of my favorite bands.

Now, if only I could find them doing DESPERADO TOGETHER...!

  • The Eagles were originally comprised of members of Linda's backup band

  • Could you imagine the band that would have been "Linda Ronstadt and the Eagles" if she had joined up with them permanently? Her voice meshes so well with all of theirs, especially Bernie's, and we know she can do a hell of a job singing Henley's part in Desperado. Beautiful.

  • Does it get any better than this? I think not :) Unless its the Eagles, Jackson Browne, and Linda doing Take it Easy...... :)

  • 36 years later and everyone in this video are true talent. Felder on pedal....Oh and a few more years added on to 36! :-)

New "singers" will not make it that long. Gaga...really? Think not.

  • what a wonderful artist in HER great performance! txs Gail for this beautiful share!

in gratitude for the video maker SEXHOT999

    krys

  • Great bass line from Randy.

  • Great song and clip. The guitarist to Linda's left is Bernie Leadon, Don Felder is on keyboard. Randy Meisner is behind Glenn Frey. Linda is one of a kind...

  • @sandgroperchic , That's not a keyboard. Don Felder is a playing pedal steel guitar.

  • Linda jammin with the "Real Eagles." Don Felder on steel. Love it.

  • @jamesskb Yeah, this might be the best band of all time; the Eagles with Linda in front. Not a weak spot anywhere, just genius top to bottom.

  • when we hear these songs by linda--we just love her even more..

  • Saw Linda live on this tour with the eagles on 74.. I tried to rush the stage in Roanoke va to kiss her on a bet from my buddies.. I was tackled by a security guard and Linda graciously called me to the stage and gave me a kiss. What a special moment for a horny 15 year old . I will never forget it or her. She was wearing the same outfit as this video. Thanks. What a find

  • LOL...sure she did!

  • I also saw Linda on her 1974 tour - in Berkeley, CA - it was my first concert & I'll never forget it either - she was awesome although as a girl, I just wanted to LOOK like her.

  • @rwstaff59 What a lucky one you are!

  • Hey everyone,,,,,,,,,,,,,,JULY 15 th is "LINDA RONSTADT DAY" from now on and it's her birthday so lets make it work she is 64 this year.

  • thats a great voice!!!

  • No, that would have been Karen Carpenter

  • The #1 greatest female ballad AND rock singer of all time.

  • Samcashmooney. You are right. We don't singer like her anymore

  • I saw Linda and Eagles perform together in Chicago's Arlington Race Track lovely night and a very memorable performance. The Eagles were such a tight group and Linda's voice were an evenings magic.

  • fantastic

  • Wow only just come across this vid ..... awesome ..... thanks for posting, great song great performance from both Linda and The Eagle .........it rocks.

  • try as you will Britney but you will NEVER come close to this lady. imagine, Linda and the Eagles. who could you find today to match that due??? NO ONE....thanks for posting...

  • I don't know 'bout ya all, but I come for the music not the smoke or the fireworks. Linda explodes with all that energy. -ok I do like the images on the video, but it is the sound that really does it for me! [nice comment boneyard1125]

  • Eagles are a tad bit better than the Stone Poneys. But both are great with Linda.

  • Saw Linda and Eagles in Chicago at Arilington Race Track they were tight one of the best concerts I've seen.

  • Beautiful woman, nice pipes- a deadly combination. And with the Eagles backing her up. Watch out!

  • Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

and lean not on your own understanding,

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

and He shall direct your paths.

    Proverbs 3:5,6,

  • @reyldeguz quit spamming. Your Lord would not be impressed.

  • @alan4sure Seriously. I think reyldeguz is in for a huge surprise when he finds out "Thou Shalt Not Spam" was once a commandment, but since they didn't have computers yet, no one could figure out what it meant & they just omitted it.

  • I never saw her do anything except stand behind the microphone and sing. No dancing, no smoke, no skyrockets and yet her performances were more energetic than all those groups who used gimmicks.

  • @boneyard1125 So she's another moron who didn't bother to read the law. Sorta like you. Heh, heh.

  • @boneyard1125 Something that hot Glows, it don't just smoke. And she was hot as anything in those days!

  • @boneyard1125 You are so right....she didn't need all that other stuff...she has her voice...and an awesome one at that!

  • I love this song and this is the best version I have ever heard :)

  • I like this version of this song. Eagles Spiced it up. =)

  • That was her best time--when she was with the Eagles. They should have stayed together.

  • The 4 original Eagles only performed one concert in 1972 as Ronstadt's backup band although Leadon and Meisner played for a few months with her the same year. They were never really "together" as her backup band although they would once in a while perform with her in collaborations's from 72 to 74/75 on tv specials such as this clip.

  • @GOODY61 well.....I guess the album credits on "Hand sewn, Home grown" are wrong then.

  • With the way your stating this I'm sure your right, I primarily was speaking about the Eagles being her official touring band.

  • and the comments were directed @ Zosima64 inaccurate statements below as if they were a group. Collaborators-Yes, An officially billed entity or band-No.

  • @GOODY61 Okay, I gotcha. I read Felder's book and you're right, they did only do one live gig with her. I just remembered reading the credits on two of her studio albums, "Hand Sewn" and "Linda Ronstadt" that had Henley, Frey, Meisner and Leadon listed as musicians. Any way though. I like the Eagles and Linda so.....hey

  • There is THE VOICE...cuts right to the bone!!!!

  • Waitaminnit isn't that Felder on pedal steel? damn.

  • Linda Ronstadt is one of those rare singers who have great talent and it shows when they sound even better live than in a studio. Leaves these artificial bimbos of today for dead. She is probably the best female artist ever!!

  • @samcashmooney After Patsy cline, I would agree

  • @samcashmooney LOL I like it--who the fuck will know who Lady Gag Gag is in 30 years --Cheers:)

  • Thanks for clarification

  • Most of th Eagles were from The Stone Pony's - Linda Rondstadt and the Stone Ponys had a big hot with Different Drum

  • The Eagles weren't from The Stone Ponies. The Stone Ponies were Linda Ronstadt, Kenny Edwards, and Bobby Kimmel.

Her manager John Boylan put Glen Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner together as her touring band in the early 70s when she went solo!

  • Nope, not accurate. They were, with the exception of Don Felder, her back up band for her self entitled 1972 album.

  • She absolutely nails this one.Great version.

  • Eagles supposedly started as Lindas back-up band

  • Her voice is one of the best in popular music.

This version is better than the "Knast-Fassung" recorded at Nashville State Prison.

  • wow!,what a girl,what a voice!.

lucky to have seen her on only tour to uk and this song brings back memories of one great gig!.

    thank you linda!.

  • Wow..love it..fantastic..very pretty girl..

  • Have been in love with Linda since I first saw/heard her! Still in love....

  • how about that pretty little girl with the great big voice

  • Eagles still need 'Fingers'!

  • Linda was just beautiful.
