  • Uuh... can't watch the 15 hp version in Germany because of music copyrights... too sad... :((

  • @152VO Not to worry! Luckily I had also uploaded a remixed version of the Speed testing video with the original song I decided to use. See "Speed Testing Recut" on my channel (music not blocked). Also, check out the Showcase video on my channel for final product and interview of its features. Not blocked either, as I used Royalty Free music and a song my friend made :)

  • @MovieMakerKeith: thank you! Yeah - now it rocks! :-)

  • Does it leak

  • @Ewcrook Thanks! It has a 15 hp evinrude fastwin on it. See "Showcase" and Speed Testing videos. Watch the rest of this video to find out if it leaks

  • Great job! Need a bigger engine:) get a 25 hp

  • Nice job:-)

  • think you could send the plans for that boat?

  • @Comeaud1193 The plans are full size patterns one sheet is 17 feet long. Also comes with a build process packet for the assembly. Available on Clark Crafts website

  • Poew is prise man its slow

  • @saxkay310799 see Speed Testing, Dialed in at Lake X, or Showcase videos for the finished product

  • awesome bro

  • what is song in here

  • I wanted to build one of these when I was 15, in the back pages of Popular Mechanics magazine was a ad for plans for one.

Wish I were younger, and lighter... and not 67.

  • boat looks nice, good luck with it.

  • You should put led weight in the front to balance it out a little better

  • im js if anyone wants to expiramint with a boat dont make it out of wood make it out of fiberglass its lighter if you made that boat with fiberglass lol he would go sooo much faster

  • @aaronnaquin14 hydroplanes are made of wood period. the fiberglass ones werent competitive to the wood ones....still fiberglass the bottom and what-not...

  • @crimson1667 cant argue with that haha

  • how much did it cost to make it, without the motor? and do you have plans

  • Dude.. Trim that motor!!!

  • @johns78c it was an 18 inch short shaft motor running on a 21 inch long shaft transom. Had to be trimmed in so the water pump could get water as even trimmed all the way in it still sucked air a few times. Just a test motor. Take a look at the current setup in the Lake X speed testing video

  • Completely awesome. Great project, man.

  • i thought this boat was going to go alright through the build.... until i saw the outboard they used.... and the result...... big laughs... seriously as a school you would have been better off building a clinker hull steam boat or something interesting like that!!!! :( that motor is from the 1800's :)

  • @TerminalSolutions see TU9 Tunnel Hull Speed Lake X Speed Testing "Mini Magnum Missile" video for finished product. It was november when we ran it in this video and the motor used was only to test the boat out on its first run. Link: watch?v=1Orewe_1kt8

  • that thing would be awesome a little longer with a sail attached...hmm...

  • what is the stuff that you put in the edges to keep the water out?

  • you need a bigger motor!

  • @02norcottg Lol why? He's already affraid ot it tipping backwards LMAO

  • song?

  • @12hasim34 its listed beneath the video

  • @12hasim34 ...is terrible.

  • @ItchyKneeSon hahaha

  • what school?

  • @hammau23 Londonderry High School

  • Hell of a senior project! Awesome. 1-10 how difficult was the whole project?

  • @tokillamurderer I don't know i guess it depends on who you are. I'd say about 8 or 9. I needed a plan everyday and had to manufacture all the parts from traceouts which didn't match perfectly. Building the kit would be much easier. You just gotta understand what your doing

  • @MovieMakerKeith where did you get the plans could i get them or the place where you got them you did awesome

  • @railrdr523 1948 Scott Atwater Firestone 3.6 Horsepower. It fell off the transom of our aluminum rowboat and managed to still run while halfway submerged underwater. Got it for free still works wonderful. Great motor!

  • u just wasted me time

  • Como conseguir plano desse barco e lista de materiais?

Where to get the plan of this boat and bill of materials

  • @JRENTROIA google search clark craft TU9

  • tiny engine. what hp?

  • @HackLover007 3.6

  • What thickness off plywood did you use? Thanks.

  • @chilly988 1/4" outside planks, two 3/4" for transom. Marine grade plywood 2 sheets custom cut 4 by 10 feet

  • How did you make it watertight?

  • @hiklify Gluv-it Sealer and Gl-10 Marine epoxy

  • how long did it take you

  • @TheScrappycocco One school year first half had 45 minutes a day second semester I had 2.5 hours a day and some time at home finishing up painting etc

  • Como conseguir plano da embarcação?

  • Now slap a 750cc jet ski in it and bam lol

  • Now slap a 750cc jet ski in it and bam lol

  • congrads! nice hull! needs a big block ford!

  • fish out of it?

  • `pnele mas motor vas a ver como vuela

  • Crazy Nice Bro! Nothing some more horse power wont fix!

  • Gorgeous boat man. You should be proud. Makes me want to build one

  • You'll have to take me water skiing sometime XD

  • thats awesome nice job

  • Can the ship it to washington state

  • Where did you get the wood?

  • @91yotapick Goose bay lumber in Chichester NH they custom cut a 4 x 10 foot 1/4 marine plywood sheet for me

  • What did you make it out of. What kind of wood.

  • @91yotapick Mahogany and Marine grade plywood 3/4 inch and 1/4 inch

  • how much did it cost to make it

  • Ever try using a bigger motor?

  • Where did you get your plans?

  • @91yotapick Clark Craft's website under "Racer 9"

  • Cool. I plan on building a boat for my sineor project to do just wanted to know a estmet on how long it would take. Thanks

  • How long did it take to build?

  • @91yotapick it was build in my high school woodworking class. 1st semester I had 40 minutes a day for about 60 days, and 2nd semester I had 2 and a half hours a day for 90 days. about 400 hours but could be shorter if I had longer durations to work on it

  • Great build! I can't wait to see it run with a larger engine.

Thanks for the cool video brother...

    Peace.

  • nice build dude.... maybe with the 15hp motor it will plane out.

  • Whay build hi speed boat with a lousy motor? But fine work man

  • @wawdeno thanks that was only a test motor as it will have a 15 hp soon. That was the boat's first time out on the water

  • Ha ha ha ha ha EXTREME SPEED!! Did you break the sound barrier?

  • @didgeridoo86 it was only a test motor as that was the first time the boat was in the water

  • Wow ... nice-looking boat ! ... you definitely need a more powerful motor (lol) ... oh, and you should install a battery and one of those small electric sump-pumps, so you don't have to bail the water out by hand. =]

  • Man, I encourage you to look into outboard hydroplane and runabout racing. They use 15-40hp racing outboards and range from 50 to 80+mph.. Thats right, a 15hp evinrude/johnson/mercury, set up for racing, can push a boat well over 50mph. I've been doing it for two years. its a blast. I race C Stock Hydros, I can see 65-66mph in a race. My boats 10' long and runs a 33hp 400cc japanese Yamato racing outboard. Send me a msg if you are interested and would like more information.

  • time for the 25hp or 15 hp and tune it

  • Awesome

  • lucky you live near a lake, i would have built one but more simple

  • that's a beauty of a craft, worthy of...something really really good. What did it cost to build? Knowing the cost of materials these days, had to be up there. Which is a shame, because boat building would be so great a thing to get the young involved in, especially the less fortunate. Something to be proud of my man, that is quite the accomplishment!

  • @eatpogs It cost about a 1000 to build factoring in wood costs, epoxy, and sealant. Thanks for your compliments. Next motor to go on the back will be a 15 hp evinrude superfastwin

  • well that should make for an exhilarating ride!
