After this episode, the show's ratings dropped to it's lowest in 8 years as the viewers saw Idol as a fake rigged show.
The only was it gave them all exposure.
It makes no difference who wins or loses as it's up to each one to make it on their own. Of all the other contestants, this was the powerhouse voice of this past season.

She was just slightly behind the beat for most of the song and her low register does need work. But this girl can definitely sing and I'm sure we'll see more of her in the future.
I really didn't get why she got voted off that week. Actually, if its the week I think it was, I think Crystal actually should have gone home. This was, pumped, and rocked the house I think! It had fire, where the others I think where kinda sleepy. Not that I wasn't a Lee fan, I am happy he won, but this was the best of that night!
This was Lee's week to go home, going first, singing the whole thing off-key, out of tune whatever. Listen to Shania's then listen to Lee, he screwed the song up! Anyway, about Siobhan, her vocals in this song were a little wobbly, the screaming , whatever, it's her thing, it's okay. The crowd was cheering then she let out that last "man" and the whole crowd immediately silenced.

I'm from cape cod! Grew up in the SAME TOWN as siobhan and all I gotta say is why couldn't i have gotten her talent....I LOVE HER though. she's amazing and im proud she represents my home town! 508!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it just me or did Siobhan sound better in that little mentoring snippet than on stage? But still IMO she shouldn't have gone home that week. I was pulling for a Crystal-Siobhan finale.

voters are generally conservative and vote for a personality with whom they can be comfortable . Nose rings, dread locks and alternative life styles may have shooed voters away from Siobhan ,Crystal and that contestant with flame red hair. I hope future contestants take this in consideration if they really want to do well. Polite manners also gain more votes than sassy ways.
She told me ...at this point she was sick of singing to the judges. I wanted her off sooner, personnaly. She had made her mark and picqued the powers that BE. A rare talent that has worked hard to get to this point. One thing to have a God given talent. Another to work at it. Super person here. Love her and her family.
She should have been in the top 4, at least. Her live performances weren't always perfect but her studio recordings are amazing. Given that the 'winner' can't hit a goddamn note, Idol apparently isn't really about live singing anymore, so if there's any justice in the universe, this girl will eventually get to record an album.
She's got a big internet fanbase, I could see her going the route Jason Castro did and working out a deal with another label. It might take a while but I hope it happens.
I think she was voted off because she was herself and unusually different. Which is something America doesn't expect for someone to be that comfortable about them self when everyone thinks that she is seriously odd.
But as for me, I LOOOOOOOVED HER. She was my favorite and I thought she was amazing. I loved her individuality, it taught me how to not care what others think.
after her elimination, i actually recalled that this happened during season 7, wherein carly smithson after a strong performance ended up eliminated the following day and placed 6th overall during that season. and the story is basically the same here in season 9, wherein siobhan's performance of any man of mine is really strong yet the next day she got eliminated and placed 6th for this season. another similarity? both of the argued with simon hehehe ^_^
The Top 2 should've been Siobhan and Crystal in my opinion. I still dont believe that Siobhan really left this night, I think that it was Michael or Lee with the lowest votes.

I really like siobhan and crystal and it does my head in that people pit them against each other in all these youtube clips. Loads of people say crystal is arrogant but siobhan was constantly talking back to the judges too, albeit very slowly. They are both just great artists who know themselves. Hope I can get a hold of both their albums soon!
I never said that EITHER of them were rude or interrupted the judges but neither let criticism slide. Siobhan's replies were always just a bit sickly sweet and she spoke like a zombie and while Crystal was a bit more frank. And Crystal could hardly have done it that much since there were only 2 weeks or something like that when Simon didn't kiss her arse.

crystal also went on a rave that she didn't "feel" she should sing high notes just because she was on Idol, that was snotty, a spoiled brat, a slap to all of the judges and the show.
All the rest always showed respect, graciousness and humility to the judges.

let's talk about appearance, as it says a lot about an individual. Siobhan & teh other contestants were always well groomed, good hygiene, brushed teeth, their hair was in place, she engaged the audience......I cannot say the same for Crystal, her appearance looks like she just woke up, really sloppy & it's that's choice as it speaks volumes about who she is.....it is a self focus.
@origins1965 Not sure you can really judge the contestants hygiene through your tv set. Siobhans appearance was always self focus as well but im sure she'd be the first to say that its all about self expression so who cares whether Crystals hair is dishevelled? Im just saying that they were my two favourite singers and i find it funny that each of their fanbases criticise the other when they are very similar- all about individualism.

Anyway, about Siobhan, her vocals in this song were a little wobbly, the screaming , whatever, it's her thing, it's okay. The crowd was cheering then she let out that last "man" and the whole crowd immediately silenced.

voters are generally conservative and vote for a personality with whom they can be comfortable . Nose rings, dread locks and alternative life styles may have shooed voters away from Siobhan ,Crystal and that contestant with flame red hair. I hope future contestants take this in consideration if they really want to do well. Polite manners also gain more votes than sassy ways.

She told me ...at this point she was sick of singing to the judges. I wanted her off sooner, personnaly. She had made her mark and picqued the powers that BE. A rare talent that has worked hard to get to this point. One thing to have a God given talent. Another to work at it. Super person here. Love her and her family.

She should have been in the top 4, at least. Her live performances weren't always perfect but her studio recordings are amazing. Given that the 'winner' can't hit a goddamn note, Idol apparently isn't really about live singing anymore, so if there's any justice in the universe, this girl will eventually get to record an album.
She's got a big internet fanbase, I could see her going the route Jason Castro did and working out a deal with another label. It might take a while but I hope it happens.

I think she was voted off because she was herself and unusually different. Which is something America doesn't expect for someone to be that comfortable about them self when everyone thinks that she is seriously odd.
But as for me, I LOOOOOOOVED HER. She was my favorite and I thought she was amazing. I loved her individuality, it taught me how to not care what others think.

after her elimination, i actually recalled that this happened during season 7, wherein carly smithson after a strong performance ended up eliminated the following day and placed 6th overall during that season. and the story is basically the same here in season 9, wherein siobhan's performance of any man of mine is really strong yet the next day she got eliminated and placed 6th for this season. another similarity? both of the argued with simon hehehe ^_^

I really like siobhan and crystal and it does my head in that people pit them against each other in all these youtube clips. Loads of people say crystal is arrogant but siobhan was constantly talking back to the judges too, albeit very slowly. They are both just great artists who know themselves. Hope I can get a hold of both their albums soon!

I never said that EITHER of them were rude or interrupted the judges but neither let criticism slide. Siobhan's replies were always just a bit sickly sweet and she spoke like a zombie and while Crystal was a bit more frank. And Crystal could hardly have done it that much since there were only 2 weeks or something like that when Simon didn't kiss her arse.

Crystal can never take any type of criticism, she always got defensive,Her interrupting & arguing w/the judges and defending herself was immature, childish and showed her true colors.......many picked up on this behavioral trait. No other contestant did this. Let's face it, her voice range in limited, you would this type in a karaoke bar....I also noticed when others got voted off, I would see a smirk or grin on her face. Her turn is coming wednesday.

crystal also went on a rave that she didn't "feel" she should sing high notes just because she was on Idol, that was snotty, a spoiled brat, a slap to all of the judges and the show.
All the rest always showed respect, graciousness and humility to the judges.
Siobhan & Crystal sound so different. I would only buy Siobhan's CD's. If I want to hear Janis, I would buy the real mccoy.
Siobhan is clearly the the best voice of the season,

let's talk about appearance, as it says a lot about an individual. Siobhan & teh other contestants were always well groomed, good hygiene, brushed teeth, their hair was in place, she engaged the audience......I cannot say the same for Crystal, her appearance looks like she just woke up, really sloppy & it's that's choice as it speaks volumes about who she is.....it is a self focus.

Siobhans appearance was always self focus as well but im sure she'd be the first to say that its all about self expression so who cares whether Crystals hair is dishevelled? Im just saying that they were my two favourite singers and i find it funny that each of their fanbases criticise the other when they are very similar- all about individualism.

In my opinion the judges always giving crystal a good comment so a lot of people were influenced by the judges to vote.

I swear! The Top 5 were so fuckin BORING! IDGAF about Big Mike having an amazin night, he was still in the bottom 2! Even Crystal put me to sleep her performance was so snoozing. So what if Siobhan wails at the end of her performances! Its MUCH BETTER than any other contestant on the show. Also the ratings dropped about 13% after Siobhan left!
