  • like alweys... boner!

  • ODST was one of the greatest Halo games because it was unique for once. A whole new way of playing the game and not as a super human.

  • Mombasa's Night is my Magnums Neon Light.

  • This song is way better than the original Halo 3 music

  • I still play this just to explore the city and listen to the music lol

  • odst was soo good

  • Im crying

  • In My personal opinion ODST was my favourite Because of the music that sad yet Haunting feeling you get when playing the game . Also the Moments Between Buck and veronica , He's Mission to save her. Now that what i call romantic. Man I wish all men where like that.

  • @Wintercomb so treu most odst cares about an damn mission but buck? all he wanted was to save her now thats an man whit nuts especially when you have tons of covenant between them

  • if this game had its own multiplayer, forge, and theater it would be the 2nd best halo game. Not just the lame halo 3 extension disc.

  • @explorehalouniverse Hell, it might have even topped them as best.

  • @infantryhawk urban fighting in the city, maps on the animal reserve, drop pods in forge, dang this could've been the best halo game!

  • Esta canción me dió mucho miedo cuando la escuché en esa noche en Mombasa.

I thought there was going to appear a ghost on those streets, fortunately there was the Covenant.

  • When ever I play ODST in the streets, the music makes me feel lonely, vulnerable, and purposeful.

  • night... dark ... alone .... devastated city ... still finding something ... low ammo ... evading enemies ... i played rookie missions with open mouth ... this is an absolutely amazing game!

  • A spartan is meant to be the powerful commanding officer of the battle field who can quite a span of time in a firefight at best with a wide arsenal of weapons. An ODST is a bit more indirect, preferring Covert-Ops, most of the silenced weapons, and killing the enemy from behind their lines. It mostly depends on the soldier though.

  • Why have spartans when you have ODST who are just as strong as spartans?

  • @TheAgentTexas ODST are no where near as strong as Spartans the only thing about them that was similar was there training but the Spartans had a massive amount of steroids and plus there Mjolnir armor with shields i think put them over ODST easily if the UNSC didn't have Spartans the human race would have had there ass kicked even harder then they had

  • @HellzMercenaries Yes the spartans are stronger than ODST, but in the game they are pretty much the same.

  • @TheAgentTexas no....

  • @TheAgentTexas ODST are nothing close to how strong spartans are..MasterChief could kill over 1 million ODST's solo

  • @CaspperTheAssassin once again im going to say in the game if you compare the ODST and the spartans they are the same. When you play as the rookie you can pretty much do the same stuff that you can do when you play as a spartan.

  • @CaspperTheAssassin obviously in the halo story the spartans are stronger. but gameplay wise they are the same.

  • @TheAgentTexas no..this game is EXTREMELY hard..if i was master chief id jump in and kill everyone, in here u dont even have any energy shields..witch means if u get hit ur health goes down, and it dosent even restore, u need to find a health pack

  • @CaspperTheAssassin you still have regenerating health.

  • @TheAgentTexas nononononononononoooooo

  • @CaspperTheAssassin ya you do. obviously spartans are more strong. But GAMEPLAY wise they are very similar. (Infisized on the word gameplay)

  • @TheAgentTexas yea i getcha on this one man, it started off u saying why have spartans when thye can have the odsts coz they are the same..something like that, well in gameplay they are, but it wouldnt fit in with the story , coz in the halo universe they are weak..

  • @CaspperTheAssassin at the very beginning that was my point but i guess i didnt make my point clear at first. But anyway, ya spartans are definantly a lot more awsome.

  • This soundtrack fits its game more than any other soundtrack out there. Its just so mysterious and epic.

  • I really loved 0:00-1:23 it was relaxing!!:) lot of thanks to martin and michael!!:D

  • ODST has the best soundtrack ever and 2 thumbs up to Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori.

  • Halo 2 and ODST have the best Soundtrack i think =)

  • ODST had some of the best music of any game I`ve played

  • (response to rush12211)

You were looking at your drop pod's instruments when it jumped out right in front of you, weren't you?

Replay the first cut-scene and just look straight out the window to watch it go to slip space.

  • 3:05 - 5:19.... awesome ♥

  • The majority of this game was really sad...just finding broken remnants of the last humans left in new mombasa...was this before or after the covenant corvette went slip space over the city?

  • @rush12211 it's after...

  • 1:34-2:14 epic drum solo!

  • the songs of halo 3 odst are the best

  • I like what happens at 3 min. too. It is Jazzy and relaxing, and the piano in the back round gives it some energy and tension. :P Kinda like a night on the town, but there's aliens hunting you down too

  • I love how this is jazzy, relaxing, nice, at about 3 minutes, sounds like something you could listen to in a low key wine den or something :D

  • i love the cello..they seem to work that into every halo song....and voice..and michael is also heavy on the percussion..weird mix but it sounds awosme

  • neon light of the mombasa night

  • is all of odst in the dark, alone, while flashing back to squad mates?

  • @XenoAlbedo The last two missions aren't. You find your squad and get out of the city.

  • @XenoAlbedo Only one where u play as Rookie except 2 last one, in other missons marines helps you and its day

  • in a way, i feel so sorry for rookie, he had to put up with seeing a city with dead bodies everywhere. and was trapped, for hours, until he found his team.

  • The soundtrack in ODST did amazing in communicating the sadness, and hope throughout the game.

  • @liligman exactly i just couldnt put my finger on it, now i know, ur awesome

  • @liligman exactly... i just love the sadness this music brings out in the game, makes you feel more like your in the game

  • @dapatriots81 the piano makes it sound so ominous and hopeless then the drums and sax later in the song bring out the chance that maybe there is some hope.

  • @dapatriots81 i know right? and when your in the city? it makes you feel like your really truley alone which you are but you get what i mean.

  • I love it!!!

  • I think this song is why It didn't feel right when I played ODST campaign on the night missions, I was too alone and isolated, unlike the other halos. Made me sad :(

  • @UberScubaNZ then marty did his job :)

  • 3:07 is where I like it..

  • Damn this song is awesome.... it should be played when walking down a street

with Strangers you will never meet again.

  • i would be confident to say that overall the halo franchise has had the best music. between halo and final fantasy in my mind

  • Halo is not just a good game but it have AMAZING music whitch will you make think cry or laught and that is what i love in all halo games is music!

    Thumbs up if u agree!

  • @nixcomments

Never played the game but I was in tears when I heard the song unforgotten.

  • if this game had included a multiplayer based on a squad of odst it would have been my favorite halo game even over halo 2......if only if only

  • i want 2 play this song in band.

  • I loved this game. Hearing the tune that started after the first Buck level as you were leaving the building was a great experience.

  • How does bungie get the music so right every single time? ILY Perfect. Fitted the game so well.

  • if i listened to this while walking through New Jersy at night i would feel like an ODST.

  • love the piano touch from the song :)

  • if bungie had`nt made odst then halo reach would be alot different, odst gave them practice for an open world enviornment, awesome graphics and a great story!

  • @superficialmanable actually they have said that odst was pretty much a fundraiser they had the tools just not the money

  • Does anyone know what the song's name is for the track that has the awesome guitar part and is during NMPD HQ (at the end...)

  • *sniff* i wove the Rookie........

  • This game is amazing, it's not typical mainstream halo. I've always wanted to revisit New Mombassa in a deeper way.

    BEST HALO Since number 1!!

  • I felt so lonely when I was playing as The Rookie.. Amazing game though, especially the music. : D Girls playing games ftw !

  • I really hate the part where you're the rookie and you have to search for clues in the night...but the ones where you're dutch, romeo, mickey and buck fighting in the day is awesome...not

  • @TheCoGsPaRtAn117 (oops didn't finish it) totally awesome tho

  • @TheCoGsPaRtAn117 The night parts are the best part.....

  • @theboxmike Different people perceive opinions differently..in this case I just disagree...theboxmike...or anyone...don't debate over this sht anymore.

  • loved the games and loved the music!!! awsome!!

  • I don't get it, I don't play these games, at all. But when I hear the music, I tear up every time, so strange. It is truly beautiful music.

  • @SgtPeppers17 that's gay

  • @phads77 We don't need to be flaming everyone for their opinions, please, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.

  • @SgtPeppers17 It's not Gay Bro, I agree

  • the first song kinda sounds like somethin outta zelda, but i love this game, and the music just absolutely makes the campaign. creepy, soothing, yet suspensful, very good whoever composed this

  • First 1:20 Piano is amazing!

  • Im a person of variety, and putting this kind of soothing and somewhat suspensful music into a shooter is really a good change. It really fits the mood of the game having to go around the city at night and trying to survive or sneak around the Covenant patrols. Thx for uploading this :)

  • i love this i play this sometimes just to hear this. does anyone think this sounds kind of like the donkey kong water level.

  • hahaha it totally does now that you mention it!!!! hahaha

  • oh i forgot if anyone wants to play any Halo game heres my GT ReplicantReaver

  • This is Actually my favorite of all songs from the album. Thanks for uploading :P

  • wonderful....

  • thx iv been lookijng for this sound love it

  • I really loved this games soundtrack. Halo soundtracks have always generally gone for "EPIC CELLOS WOO YEAH"

It's refreshing to get this smooth, jazzy ambience for this one.

  • This is quite fantastic. A wonderful deviation from the standard "epic halo music"

  • absolutly love the music in ODST, definitly one of the highlights of the game for me!

  • Wow, I love this song. This is my favorite song in the whole game! Thank you!

  • i love odst music. its soo relaxing so it puts me in the mood :)

  • yeah i noticed that :P

  • thanks man for putting this in youtube ;) man odst is really good and some of the songs are just fantastic

  • Martin O' Donnell Is a great musical composer!
