There is actually a game for the PS3 that features the 7th Gundam, but it's only out in Japan. The Gundam comes from a side story taking place in UC0081. The game is worth checking out. Also, I saw a 1/100 scale 7th Gundam (not full armour) on the net, so you might be able to get one. It's a pretty cool Mobile Suit.
@prime92 actually the gp03 thrusters is like the 7th since it was built before the gp03 its from the video game mobile suit gundam battlefield record u.c. 0081. Do u think this would be an o.k. starter kit?
@shadowgundam335 this helped me get back into modeling and is a perfect starter looks great straight out of the box and is well poseable by all means get it.
I'm sure someone has already mentioned this but just incase they haven't; This Gundam makes an appearance in the Battle Field record U.C. 0081. didn't know they had a kit for this beast though. Time to order one!
FA-78-3/RX-78-7 is from Gundam Battlefield record 0083, for the PS3...in Japan....Gundamn it... they always keep the GOOD gundam games to themselves...
@BlitzkriegOmega The Reason why Gundam Senki 0081 didn't make it to the US was the poor reviews and sales on Gundam Crossfire. If it DID do good, maybe 0081 would of made it in to US sale.
To be blunt, the large piece in the back isn't a "ass thruster". Watching videos of this guy in action, it's more like a stabilizer for the amount of thrusters it has, as well as when more boosters are added to this mobile suit to create the Heavy FA-78-3.
This is a part of the MSV series, in canonically, it was only partially built, but the OYW ended before it was complete, and with the development of the NT-1 it was deemed too costly and was scrapped
What would you else expect from 'fine-tip' Gundamn Markaz?
XD
I remember trying to line my third model with them and noticed that they get stuck and turn into even more useless plastic sticks when using them on cured paint.
I feel the same. I see models on Dalong's website lined with Gundam Markers, and while they look decent from a distance, you really notice how sloppy the lines are once you view the close-ups.
Though I can't blame Dalong for using them; with so many kits to build, lining them all must be quite a hassle.
Anyway, that's why I use my own method with paints. Even if it takes longer, I think it looks better, and that's what it's all about.
Dalong is a more or less secial case. He not only uses Gundam Markers but enhances the exffect (darkness) even more by drawing a line above that with a Rothring-pen (special designers thin pen).
He explains the technique in one of his special pages. I use this pen, too. The effect is at least better than with GunMarkers. But it's still a pen...
I forgot it, too. Well...let me search for it....(5 minutes later)...Building SD Alex 8/9 (panel lines, teaser). But I guess the wash-method is better than using any kind of pen. But I had no luck with my color-thinner combination of surface-color and panel-line color in the past so that the wash-over spill wasn't easy to clear.
The secret V project after 0079 MS was a success and thefore the EFF launched a 2nd batch of mobile suits
Gundam 04
Gundam 05
Mudrock Gundam 06
Those were the gundams that were actually contructed, the 07 and the 08th gundam had blue prints but they were never actually built, the MSV collection has the drawings of what the 07 and 08th are supposed to look like, but once again they were never constructed according to time line
HGUC is just the name of the current line of High Grade Gundam Kits from Universal Century, hence HGUC. There used to be 1/144 kits of UC mobile suits before, but they were rather poor in terms of quality and articulation. It's labelled HCUC in order to distinguish these kits from any old UC kits.
While this unit shares similiarities with the GP03S, it is not part of the Gundam Development project. This unit was created during the One Year War, but by the time the war ended, it was just a basic frame. The frame would later be taken out of storage again and completed for use of Phantom Sweep, the Federation's Anti-Zeon force prior to the formation of the Titans. It's likely that the basic idea of this suit was later recycled for the GDP, as this one could also dock with a weapon platform.
Really nice HGUC, these kind of designs justify this line being my favorite: even though it DOES rehash the RX78 design for the 13323th time, at least it does it well with some nice additions, unlike a lot of other gundams from alternative universes....sometimes it seems that instead of rehashing them with new additions they are just recycling their own ideas over and over again with little to add that actually improves the model (yes, I'm looking at you, SeedvsAstray).
in the RX-78-7's deffense, this was designed by the same guy whom designed all the otehr RX-78's, and the original design is almost 20 years old. it was only recently brought back and redesigned by Katoki for use in the new gundam game.
it wudve been school if they had like a handle on that bigger rifle, the ass thruster reminds me of cheridum. some what if you take out the yellow and read, it has a similiar color scheme to the alex gundam. the big gun thing reminds me of the mix providence
It's an expression... But he botched it by saying "armored". It should be "armed to the teeth" by which this kit could easily be described, even though it doesn't litterally have teeth.
And if you were already aware of all that then I appologise for being ignorant... xD
Ah, indeed it does... At least when it wants to have them. xD
Really, Devil was one of the coolest, craziest Gundams around. It could be anything it wanted to be, and the artists came up with some really interesting designs for it.
Wish Bandai would make a decent model of it available; even the original 1/144 is discontinued now...
I currently own all 1:144 G Gundam kits now (Got Bolt and Spiegeal in Japan) and had the chance to buy Devil at a little over 1,000 yen (great price for a large kit). It doesn't look real good and way out of scale. There is a 1:400-ish (I think) in resin which looks great...
my god...this has got to be one of the best HGUC models out there....I mean the panel lining looks great, and the head and armor looks awsome...not to mention its great color scheme. This is probably a must get for me if I ever find it anywhere.
I amount of stickers annoy me though...the main reason I never use stickers is because they stick out too much since they're usually metallic. And they also peel off eventually...however, I will admit that the gray stickers are pretty good...
This Gundam came from the new PS3 gundam "Battle field record 0081' amazing game BTW. Hope Bandai will release this kit in MG in both standard type & heavy armor type. This HG kit is the heavy armor type BTW
