The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission had filed a lawsuit against Woodman’s Food Markets. The EEOC says Kimberly McMillan-Goodwin was fired from a Woodman’s store in Beloit last year because of a back condition that prevented her from lifting more than 10 pounds. The agency says the restriction didn’t interfere with the woman’s work for years, but that the company eventually fired her.
This guys profits are dropping at an alarming rate, and his workers are unaware of his plans for 2012 to lay off many employees, and possbily shut down some of his stores.
