Totally had a storm like this. THen we started getting tornado funnels but the atmosphere wasn't warm enough so they went away. But we had non-stop thunder and lightning for a whole week :)

Well done champ. Perhaps when you get you drivers license you can learn to predict where Convective clouds will develop and chase after the thunderstorms with you handy cam. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to capture a tornado, they are the ultimate prize in storm chasing. Though where I live in Australia I can only hope to capture lightning etc. Tornadoes are quite rare here

I once drove inside such a thunderstorm on my bike on purpose cause I get excited by such storms. It only turned out heavier than I thought and that scared me a little and I had to seek shelter under a bridge. So I recommend people not to do this and just stay home to watch the storm :P.

i just got a thunderstorm last week thunder shook the house lightning hit the ground really close we got hail i was outside standing in rain i could barely see and i was completely soaked in 10 min... my neighbor was outside too it lasted until 9:00-9:30 then i had to stay inside and i woke up at 11 PM to the sound of tornado sirens and we had a tornado like 2 miles away it changed course i guess because we didnt get any damage or anything but i reall wished i couldve seen it..... dang....

Once, lightening was only about 1000 feet away, no even a mile, and I was sitting, watching, on metal monkies bars, right next to the outdoor pool, in pouring rain, with no jacket. I enjoy watching the lighting, but I couldnt see over the houses! I wanted to see it!!! I love lightening!!!
