I think the beginning of this song is from a spiritual point of view (angels, heaven?) then it changes to an atheistic/scientific point of view (we all will live, we all vill die, the circle only has one side)

@blakscull no, at no point they express a spiritual point of view. in the beginning they only state what "everyone" would like to believe, not they. and straight afterwards they sing that one day they'll realize otherwise. they also sing "and when time is running out you wanna stay alive", which as i see it, is a rejection of life after death concept. whichever you see it, it's definetely not spiritual.

They go on to say that , we're all human and that part of the human condition is a restlessness that keeps us from being happy. We always want what someone else has and whatever's new . This song is about the human condition for the most part not spirituality but, they clearly state their belief in some form of God.

I feel the song contradicts itself. The first line seems to be talking about some supreme power and then the chorus is rather humanist in principle. I for one can't believe in an afterlife and am a humanist and therefore believe making this one life that we know we definitely have pleasant for everyone, which to be perfectly honest is the opposite of what many religions are doing at this moment. Why should we have an afterlife? Why do people want to transcend. You belong here. On Earth.
